Washington is pure Wingnuttia this weekend. The bats are not in the belfry, nor limited to Michelle Bachmann’s head. She’s being eclipsed by evangelical lunacy. The top clip is Ryan Walters, who is the Oklahoma Superintendent of Schools who tried to get a “drag queen principal” fired. That’s a trifle odd in and of itself, but that’s just the warm up. Walters claims that if Joe Biden had his way, he would “decree” that “every school in the nation have a drag queen principal.” The drag queens have really upset this chap.

It should be said that many of the drag queen’s coworkers have had good things to say about him. The only problem there is is the fact that this Walters character is so down on him.

And if you click into the second story in the linked tweets, you’ll enjoy the fact that this school superintendent knows more about the Constitution than Constitutional scholars do. Okey doke.

Here are some other tidbits from Pray Vote Stand. Here’s another comparison of the Democratic party with the Nazi Party and the plain reality is, yes, there are neo-Nazis in this country but they are right-wing Republicans.

A sampling of his views:

But I am angry with the spiritual forces of evil that have hijacked the hearts and minds of people in an effort to try to capture the soul of America. And I’m angry with demonic principalities, and by extension demonic principles that have influenced millennials, Gen Xers, and Gen Zers with godless philosophies and the doctrines of men. I am angry with politicians who are either knowingly or unknowingly pawns of darkness, instead of agents of light, who are advancing a godless agenda that is destructive to our country. And thus, I cannot be silent, I will not be silent and neither should you. America needs to wake up, and it starts with the church of Jesus Christ.

We need to wake up, Christian. We, we need to wake up, Christian. This is a battle. This is a war. This is not a game. It’s a spiritual battle that we are facing for the heart and soul of America and for the heart and soul of the next generation.

And this you’ll love. The Wiccan Witches have taken over California but this guy is going to save Virginia from them. I knew the place would get crazy when Glenn Youngkin got in. Here’s what that looks like.

I’m just going to end with this, because this captures my feelings about this confab in D.C. this weekend.

  1. Call me crazy, but isn’t this a clear violation of the tax exempt rules separating churches from government???

We get these grifters to pay their fair share of taxes and Social Security will be solid for the next 100 years.

    Get on the ball IRS.

  2. Grifters, liars, and religious hypocrites…yep…the kind of people Jesus loved…oh wait…the kind he RAILED AGAINST according to the gospel writers. As I said in another post…self awareness is NOT their strength.

  3. President Biden “wants to decree”? Who in the f*ck taught these morons how to speak intelligibly? One ISSUES a decree. It is a NOUN not a verb or any other part of speech for that matter.

Hey, conservative morons (sorry, I am being redundant)-President Biden might want to issue a decree (probably that you all get your effing heads out of your asses) but he does not want to decree. WTF!?!

    • You might want to recheck your dictionary, spike. Merriam-Webster provides a definition of “decree” as a “verb” (with both transitive and intransitive forms) as does the Oxford English Dictionary.

And, um, the KJV uses “decree” as a verb: “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shal be established vnto thee: and the light shall shine vpon thy wayes.” (Job 22:28, KJV, 1611 edition–reason for the odd spellings; more standard form as “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.”)

And, a certain famous poem by Coleridge opens with “In Xanadu did Kubla Khan/A stately pleasure-dome decree” (“Kubla Khan”).

So, maybe pick your battles a little better before exposing your own educational and intellectual shortcomings? (Not trying to start a flame war here but take it as you will. If a flame war you want, have at it, Johnny Storm.)

    • Soorry , Spike, but Merriam teenager disagrees with you. As a verb, decree means to order something by decree. FWIWI taught English at the college level.
