MAGA is absolutely losing it over Lindsey Graham’s passing. The rumors and theories for how and when he died are coming out from all sides. The man passed away. He was old. It’s going to happen to all of us eventually. It’s highly *un*likely for it to be some sort of knife in the dark. He had his head firmly stuck to Trump’s butt, but otherwise hasn’t been in the news much at all. So, what’s the big deal? With respect for Raw Story:
Just hours after the ‘sudden‘ death of Sen. Lindsey Graham was announced to the public, MAGA conspiracy theorists began chasing traffic with wild claims about the cause. Questions do remain after Graham’s office released an statement Sunday morning that was short on detail. “On the evening of Saturday, July 11, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham passed away from a brief and sudden illness,” read the 2 a.m. statement. “Senator Graham’s family appreciates prayers at this time and asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult period.”
That’s straightforward, i.e, he has passed away, and please leave us alone for a while to handle it. Don’t stick the microphones and phones in front of them. They have to deal with a bunch of arrangements, plus work through their feelings about how fast it happened. But MAGA is all bent out of shape, throwing this and that around, so they haven’t bothered to actually *think*. Good grief.
The sparse details proved fodder enough for conspiracy theories to thrive on X. //// Libertarian talk show host Clint Russell told his nearly 300,000 followers to “get your tinfoil ready” before he suggested, without evidence, that Russia was somehow to blame for Graham’s death in Washington, D.C. //// Graham was in Ukraine as recently as Friday for talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports show. “I’d say there is a decent chance that Russia blew up Lindsey Graham,” Russell wrote in a comment liked more than a thousand times. “This -could- be the warning shot to the political class that while Russia doesn’t want WW3 they will extract a cost on the politicians themselves who are pushing for this endless war. It’s now being reported he died of a heart attack. Sure, maybe. Idk.”
Yeeeaaaah Conspiracy Theories ‘R’ Us. It could be *remotely* possible, but Mr. Graham was not a big player. He was not one of Trump’s advisors. He certainly was a warhawk, but it was about Iran, not Russia or Ukraine. He probably went to Kyiv purely to support President Zelenskyy. It would be absolutely amazing to meet Zelenskyy. I have so much admiration and respect for that man, and it includes his family. But MAGA is throwing out some weird ideas about what’s going on. Is there really a reason for someone to “go after” Mr, Graham? Now, for another comment. You can easily guess the leader. *eyeroll*
MAGA influencer Laura Loomer also blamed Russia but she decided to tell her 1.9 million followers, again without evidence, that it was possible Russia had poisoned Graham with help from Iran. “There seriously needs to be an investigation,” she wrote in a post liked nearly 10,000 times. “Russia just sent a delegation to Khamenei’s funeral in Tehran, where the IRGC and funeral organizers was calling for myself, President Trump, and Senator Graham to be assassinated. Lindsey Graham was in Ukraine one day ago, calling for a Russian sanctions bill that he claimed the White House supports. Now he is suddenly dead from a random illness, according to his staff. Did Russia just murder a US Senator?”
And so on and so forth. Here is a link to the Raw Story article because there are some ridiculous comments made under the category of conspiracy. You don’t need me to just copy over the whole article. It seems that Mr. Graham was a double or triple agent and died as a result of someone blowing his cover. The MAGA ideas are ridiculous. Mr. Graham suddenly passed away, but that’s what can happen when you are old. ‘Nuff said.
