Careful what you wish for, is the operant motto here. And so is, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. $45 million bucks was blown on this vanity project extravaganza that suited absolutely nobody, not even the guy who thought it up, Donald Trump. In the clip you’re about to watch, he looks almost tearful at :16. Take a look. And Melania is robotic but she does come to life to adjust her hair and lapels. She exists to cut a visual image. That’s it. The rest of us may want to laugh, create, commune, either with others or with nature or both, but Mel wants to look good. (And she flopped at that, too, as we’ll show you in a clip below.)

Now, we promised you something that will piss Melania off if she becomes aware of it.

Does Melania’s high paid hairdresser want to sabotage her? Who has got hair of varying lengths and color like that? Answer: nobody. The rest of us just have a blunt cut (or layered) but the hair at the bottom is all uniform. And believe me, I wouldn’t waste time being catty like this, but this entire family galls me because they spend literally millions to achieve the image of perfection — and it’s all bullshit. And if this picture was taken of Jill or Michelle, OMG, what hell there would be to play, then. Or, here’s a thought: Maybe this is Melania being passive/aggressive? Is this her way of saying, “I have to be here but I don’t have to be perfect — which I would be, if I gave a shit?” That’s plausible.
And here’s a drunk newscaster (or somebody doing an imitation of being drunk) doing reporting from the scene. If this didn’t make Trump cry, I don’t know what would. The rest of us are crying with laughter.
LMAO, Fox News brought Rebekah Koffler on to defend the military parade, but she looked three martinis deep and speaking in Morse code. They cut away faster than the GOP from accountability. pic.twitter.com/5fL66cpwNx

I wonder if Fox News will contact me about writing about this gal appearing drunk? I only say that because they contacted me about an article I wrote about Jeanine Pirro being drunk on air once. The public relations department informed me that Ms. Pirro “doesn’t drink.” I said, in a spirit of conciliation, “Was she on meds, then? Because clearly she’s impaired, don’t you agree?” I didn’t hear back from PR and I guess it wasn’t a big enough deal to kick down to Legal. (And I would have said the same thing to Legal.) And in all candor, if Pirro was jetlagged or coming out of oral surgery and medicated or anything reasonable, I would have been happy to share that information and I’m sure every other media outlet who reported her appearing drunk on air would have done so as well.
You see what a screaming joke yesterday was, with the Fox 11 chopper pilot flying over Los Angeles, talking about how his marriage was breaking up, this gal live on scene (looking and sounding lit) and Trump in the review stand, seeming on the verge of tears himself. And while Steven Cheung may say that this was a magnificent event, other MAGA commentators were not pleased.
This was a shit show.
Recruits in bootcamp can march in formation better than this.
Sloppy, uninspiring, and gay with a cringe guitar rift. pic.twitter.com/Aq3DGjGS26

I agree that this was a shitshow but not for the reasons Stew Peters (whom I call Stew Pidd) states. My take is that the soldiers knew that this was not to *honor* them but to allow Trump to play Kim Jong-Un for a day. So they showed up, as they were ordered to do, but their hearts were not in it. Why should they be?
All of MAGA seems to be depressed and distressed that Trump didn’t get his wish and that we’re not that much closer to the fascist state that they’re all dying for us to live in. Make no mistake, democracy has no meaning to right-wing lunatics. They want Trump For King, they have signs to prove it, and they’re thinking how wonderful it would be if there were no more elections and all of the right-wing loonies were set for life financially, kissing the king’s feet.

America spoke out on this yesterday. And Steven Cheung can lie all he wants about what happened but we are not at Orwell quite yet. The party may tell us to reject the evidence of our eyes and ears but we’re not doing it.
As to what a post-Trump GOP will look like, nobody knows. I stand with my prediction from years ago, that MAGAs will be like the Nazis were, post-Hitler. They will say that they were “just following orders” and they were afraid to defy the fuhrer. A lot of people will say they never knew Trump, including people who have been filmed talking to him and standing next to him. Wait and see.

In boot camp we spent hours practicing marching in step as an eighty man unit. Those ‘soliders’ musta been recruited from the beaches in Florida at the last minute…they wouldn’t have lasted a week.
Speaking as an Army vet myself, even if they were marching sharply (which they were not) military parades are kind of boring affairs. It’s not civilian parades.
That Rebekah lady reminds me of Roseanne Barr. I think she had substance issues too, am I right?
“A lot of people will say they never knew Trump, including people who have been filmed talking to him and standing next to him. Wait and see.”
All of them just there to serve covfefe and hamberders.
trump was inconsolable because he actually thought he was getting a North Korean or Russian type parade. I don’t think the US has had one of those since the end of wwii. but seriously, 45 million for that?
I noticed that “most” of the soldiers didn’t even turn their heads to acknowledge the President, let alone salute him. I think the ones that did turn their heads were trumpets.
I agree that the Army gave Trumpler the finger, bigtime. Those lackadaisacal soldiers strolling by, with nary a weapon in sight and no big boots to go CLUMP CLUMP CLUMP, clearly hated being there. Just as clearly, their shitshow was okay with their officers too. They’ve restored my faith in the Army and its allegiance to our Constitution, not some TV phony behind bulletproof glass with his bimbo.
