I’m sure that Mary Trump will favor us with a post-presidency analysis of Uncle Donald’s final days, before the welcome wagon and the thorazine cocktails come to claim him. It was a stereotype of comedies about the funny farm that at least one inmate thought he was Napoleon. Trump will go that one better, he’ll be the guy who really did win a second term, and a third and maybe more, only They Stole It — and by the way, which one of you guys took my socks?
Tonight, the evening of January 5, 2021 (already January 6 in Washington, D.C. as I write) will feature as a seminal moment of the Trump End Times, much like Hitler throwing a few things in a bag and heading to the bunker.
Earlier this evening Trump started in with the obligatory fraud warnings about the Georgia runoffs. Right now he must be wetting his pants that the senate might in fact be lost, because here’s what the clown tweeted out at 1:00 a.m. ET.

This is beyond pathetic. This is fractured, fragmented, nonsensical and incoherent. This is what a 350 lb. man with a planet sized ego, no brains, a few strands of plouffy sprayed hair and a pathological need to “win” all the time tweets from the corner of his psyche, when the final veils of delusion are being rent and reality is shining through the tears with an unblinking gleam, like the eye of God. Or maybe it is the eye of God.
And what is truly abysmal is that Trump wails and calls upon Mike Pence to do something Pence absolutely, positively cannot do, even if he wanted to — and Pence told him that himself when they had lunch Tuesday.
If he had put as much effort into fighting the pandemic as he’s put into fighting reality he might have gotten a second term. ?

This is just screaming into the void right now, this deranged tweet. Trump is finished. He’s like the legendary toilets he speaks of, that you need to flush ten, fifteen times — well, now it’s time twenty and he’s gone. The rest is just housekeeping. He needs to leave the People’s House so Joe Biden can open the windows and let sunlight and sanity back into the place. The departure of Trump from the White House will be like an exorcism anywhere else. it wouldn’t surprise me if the whole building shuddered and the foundation fell a few feet into the earth.

Also, an election official in Georgia said that they are awaiting returns from approx 10 counties…..of the 10, seven are more populated Dem strongholds.

Hopefully before the joint session begins at 1pm. It would be nice for Schumer to be able to rub McConnell’s nose in the fact that control of the Senate will be changing hands before the inauguration! And it might make at least some in the Sedition Caucus rethink the “wisdom” of being part of the stunt they intend to pull later today. If freaking GEORGIA can’t return at least one sitting Senator to that chamber after a special election (which tend to favor the GOP in most states but especially in places like GA), and thinking back to 2018 their cockyness over gaining seats in both chambers last Nov. will have the edge knocked off it.
I’ve waited four years for that kind of humiliation. I can wait a few days.
