You know what? I am just going to step aside and allow President Elect Donald Trump speak to Americans as he did just before the stroke of midnight Wednesday:
Happy Thanksgiving to all, including to the Radical Left Lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail, because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad that the great people of our Nation just gave a landslide victory to those who want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Don’t worry, our Country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever before, proud to be an American!

“Happy Thanksgiving to all” – – Great! And you, too, President-elect Trump. Thank you for reaching out to all Americans as our incoming president. We wish you, too – a happy Thanksgiving. It is good and appropriate that any high-ranking American official, especially the leaders, to remember this uniquely American holiday…
Wait, you weren’t done?
“Including to the Radical Left Lunatics” – ?? Except you just said “all” and we sort of presumed you meant it, since we are “all” Americans. And now you’re saying that you are going out of your way to include those who should be surprised? “Radical Left Lunatics” – Except we are also Americans. And just because someone didn’t vote for you doesn’t mean we aren’t “all in” on the country doing well. Almost everyone is giving thanks for the nation in which we live. The “lunatics” thing is a bit off but we’ll let it go – it is a holiday… And?
Who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail –Â Mr. President soon to be again? You were a Democrat until 2008. When did Democrats start to fail? Moreover, when you were a Democrat, were you working to destroy our country?… While I have you… ”
Hang on.
Let me step in. I seriously doubt that Donald Trump was ever actively “trying to destroy” the country. As always, we have different ideas as to how it is done and he just had a different ideology as a Democrat versus now. So, did he fail or did “we” (Democrats) fail? For today, let’s practice what we preach – it actually doesn’t matter. It is Thanksgiving.
If he knows he is right – and he certainly comes across as such – why isn’t he saying “It is a bright new day. Now, join me and give thanks and watch all of us work toward a better future” – – Why is he not saying it? Why does he doubt himself? Is he not even going to try to lead everyone? What about us lunatics? We should be the easiest to convince…
Because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad that the great people of our Nation just gave a landslide victory to those who want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Okay. Let’s all just say that any incoming president is going to believe that the American people put him in office because his ideas were “better” – just take it as a given that every winning candidate believes their plan has been validated. Why is it that Trump goes out of his way to exclude everyone who didn’t vote for him as a “great American”?
Isn’t it possible – in his eyes – for an American to be “wrong” as to political ideology but “great” in their American spirit? In World War II kids stormed the beaches under red, white, and blue – they were all great and none were there for party. Country – yes, party – no.
Trump did win. He can call it a landslide. (It was bigger than expected.) Or some might say it was “Less than 50%” – it actually doesn’t matter. He has enough Americans behind him to move forward. But – wait, as he moves forward, it looks like he is only interested in doing so “for those who want to make America great again.” but isn’t that every voter? Doesn’t every American want what is best for the country long term? (We do, we just all complain in the near term).
Therein lies the problem. He can actually win and still be thinking about how much he has to hate those who didn’t vote for him, even if those very same people do, in fact, want America great!
Don’t worry, our Country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever before, proud to be an American!
But what if we were proud to be American before we voted and after? Every single word isn’t so much wrong as it was already true. At least for most.
I believe our country was and is respected. I believe it is productive. I also believe that – at least with respect to most nations, it is fair (Remember, all have their inner prejudices and inequality) We are definitely strong, never been a doubt about that. And I’m proud to be an American. I was before the election and going into the future. It would take much more to shake that fundamental pride. If you lose that, what do you have?
And what about his political supporters? Do they have any doubts about anything? Are they worried about some issues and optimistic about others? Sure, they are more than happy that their candidate won – obviously. But are there no concerns? Is there any “work left to do”? Can they continue to make a better country and better world over and above electing Donald Trump? Or is it done? Is that all it takes? That and revenge? Looking backward?
We don’t know. The only thing we do know is that every Thanksgiving, every Christmas, every July 4th, every New Year… That Donald Trump (President or Candidate or Incoming) wants us to know that he actually does wish everyone a good holiday… Despite the fact that they’re losers, wrong, and much less deserving than his supporters. You can feel the sincerity.
He could just say, “Happy Thanksgiving to every American! What a beautiful holiday in a beautiful country – enjoy!” He actually could say that. He could actually have someone else write it and never have to see it. It could – in theory, actually happen.
But it never does. His wish for joy is always with a caveat… maybe he doesn’t actually want everyone to be joyful on the holiday.

awesome Jason! everything he calls me a lunatic, etc. I do take it as a compliment that I’m a free spirit and free thinker in obedience to no one but myself and the wisdom of life experience and have a harmonious inner life.
Life experience includes being scapegoated continually as the “loser” in my authoritarian family of origin yet evolving (with loving support) with a mindful resilience to victimhood and courage I am proud of.

An accurate summation of statement
Tiny handed vulgarian, three time popular vote loser, (out of three tries), and 32 times convicted felon, suffering from early senile dementia, posts sad rant on failing social media platform.

So much of what you write here should be taken to heart. Today has sucked for me and for a lot of people. I might write about it later. Still, you make a great point with stating the kind of Thanksgiving message Trump COULD and SHOULD have put out.
I do have to disagree on one point however. Trump’s margin in the EC is hardly impressive. Each of the last three elections have been “blah” by historical standards. As for popular vote, again Hillary beat him by almost three million in 2016. However both Biden and Obama WHIPPED TRUMP’S ASS in both raw numbers and percentage they won by. Especially Obama in the percentage category! Yet the GOP refused (and Trump wound up joining in when he became a candidate) insisting NO “mandate” for Obama, and despite 2020 and the special and off-year election losses Trump presided over Trump/the GOP have insisted Biden had no mandate either!
Trump currently is and will remain below 50% of the popular vote. His winning percentage over Harris was 1.6% last I checked and will remain there if not fall down to perhaps 1.5%. That’s a win, and large enough to say legitimate. But it’s no “mandate” or “historicaly big” margin. It’s a NARROW victory. So whenever I hear/read about Trump having a “mandate” or a “landslide” victory I have three words in response: FUCK THAT NOISE!
He DID NOT win by a landslide. He DOES NOT have a mandate. With votes still being counted, the final numbers will be available in December. But EVERY time ANY one uses the words landslide and mandate they MUST be corrected so the TRUTH is out there. Every writer, journalist, podcaster, etc., MUST correct that misinformation. He lied over 30,000 times his first residency and they are counting his lies again already. Don’t let the media sane wash him. Don’t be part of that. Or just join fux and be a talking head for the lies. It’s a choice that everyone must make. Call out the lies! He won by one of the slimmest popular votes ever. He did win a large number of electoral votes but others have done much better. He is on a path to destroy the country. It’s up to US to save it, one tiny step, one small voice at a time. FDT
