This won’t take long, but if you need a head-slapping comment that also makes you laugh over it’s stupidity I’ve got just the thing to get your day started. Or to think of later if you need a reminder there actually ARE people so stupid. In one of her soooo full of herself moments Trump attorney Alina Habba once self-extolled herself by saying a woman can’t fake being beautiful but she can fake being smart.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so I’ll leave that part alone. However we’ve all seen and even known people who could get away with appearing to be smarter than they actually were/are. Alina Habba is NOT such a person and because she won’t STFU keeps proving it. Being the “gift of ‘stoopid’ that keeps on giving” she’s offered up another ‘Trump bigly’ gem.
We find ourselves staring down the barrel of a true Constitutional Crisis with a President who believes ALL authority is vested in him and a set of Republicans in the House and Senate (and in statehouses around the country) who are afraid to stand up for their own powers vested in THEM by our Constitution. Even questioning Trump could soon become a crime, and the GOP line these days seems to be the Judicial Branch has no business deciding what’s legal and/or Constitutional any more than the now quaint concept that Congress passes the laws including that regarding the federal budget and spending.
Alina Habba isn’t the only one saying stupid stuff but hell, she’s such an easy target when she can’t help herself and shoots off her mouth. We might as well enjoy her making a fool of herself given how much she thinks of her looks and abilities. As this short article from Raw Story tells us Habba chose to grace us with her ‘wisdom’ on this whole issue of the checks and balances, the separation of powers laid out in our Constitution. It’s rather different than what I was taught in school even before I had formal Civics classes in both Jr. High and High School:

Well, I guess now that renowned Constitutional Scholar Habba has spoken the issue is settled! And that basic truths I was taught starting in early grade school was wrong which means for sixty plus years I’ve been completely clueless about the American system of government. No less than self-professed hot babe and uber lawyer (‘I work for Trump and he only hires the best’) has set me and others straight on the Constitution and the law! However if you read the short (takes less than a minute to read) linked article you’ll find plenty of quips suggesting Habba should stick to her main job – being Trump eye candy. Going back to law school came up more than once I should note.
Let’s be honest and serious here. Habba got hired by Trump to be eye candy. Both in court and down at Mar A Lago. Every time she actually speaks on something she does more damage to Trump than good. Well, I guess somebody has to play Rudy Giuliani these days. As for Habba going back to law school, or even a high school civics class I think it’s another type of school she needs. ACTING school. Because for damned sure she fails every freaking time she acts out her ‘Fake Being Smart’ schtick! She gets paid a helluva lot more than she’s worth to be eye candy. If she keeps ‘going Rudy’ and becomes an embarrassment to Trump her rack/cleavage and ‘bikini bod’ won’t stop Trump from replacing her in a heartbeat. Dare we hope soon?

I wrote the first time she made the comment about not faking beauty: She’s wrong. Lip injections, eye lifts, botox, breast implants, skin abrasion, butt fillers, etc. are all fake.

Just a piece of advice habba dabba doo…I once saw a graffiti on the wall of the men’s room at the old Pepper’s Pizza on Franklin Street.
