He’s done it again – fact-checked a post from the account for DHS on X. The proof was in his reply. He’s not content with trolling Trump. Now he’s working on his administration. We know who’s in the lead so far. Considering how much Trump has raged about him on Truth Social, he’s so far in the lead he can’t be seen. Now it’s the Gnome’s turn. And she is fading fast, too. California Gov. Gavin Newsom slammed President Donald Trump’s administration with a fact check over its latest effort to claim his state’s tolerance of immigrants is getting people killed. The controversy stems from a Fox News report from Bill Melugin, posted to X on Friday, that “An official with the California State Transportation Agency confirms to @FoxNews that Indian illegal alien truck driver Jashanpreet Singh’s California CDL is also a federal REAL ID, ‘which he was entitled to receive given the federal gov’s confirmation of his legal status.’” Singh is currently facing charges for a deadly DUI.
Okay, stick this one out, please. There’s definitely more to come. Now, right there in that Fox post, they shoot themselves in the foot. The federal government’s confirmation of his legal status. So you see, it’s starting off badly. Then DHS had to throw out some words about it. They tried to attack, they really did.
After this post went up, the official account for the Department of Homeland Security blasted Newsom over the incident. “Newsom’s pro-illegal alien policies COST LIVES. Now that California’s policies have led to disaster, he’s attempting to shift the blame,” said the account. “In Gavin Newsom’s California, possessing employment authorization is enough to grant someone a commercial driver’s license (CDL). CALIFORNIA is solely responsible for deciding who they give a CDL to. California’s sanctuary state policies are 100% to blame for providing an individual who was NOT an American citizen, and did NOT have legal status, with a CDL. Now Gavin’s actions have killed Americans.”
Our eyes roll back, spin for a while, and come up lemons. That’s quite a stretch, considering they are blaming Governor Newsom for the action of ONE person. How in the hell is that relevant? The guy is in jail for a DUI fatality. Did Gavin meet the guy wherever, pour drinks down his throat, and tell him he was fine to drive? No. Not even close. The governor didn’t find this ONE GUY and do that. Honestly, how *is* that relevant? To close:
Newsom, though, was quick to hit back and accused the Trump administration of lying. “Lies. Kosplay Kristi and Road Rules Duffy can’t keep their story straight!” said the account for Newsom’s press office. First, the post said, “Noncitizens are eligible for CDLs — Kristi and Sean should know that!” Second, “They say he is ‘illegal’ but the Trump Admin CONFIRMED his legal presence and renewed his work permit … The Trump Admin renewed his work authorization — allowing him to be eligible for a CDL.”
WHAM. Newsom *nailed* it. It started with the *federal* government, THEN to California. CDLs are *not* easy to get. Seriously. So the fact that he got a CDL actually says a lot. But to blame California for him driving drunk? Oh please. It doesn’t work that way. So, it’s Governor Newsom One and ICE Barbie Kristi Noem Zero. Aw, yea.
