What is known is that the investigation which Jack Smith is spearheading for Department of Justice issued a subpoena, which the Washington Post is describing as “wide ranging” and that is enough to send Trump off the deep end today.
He lashed out in a three-post (which he calls three-page) tirade on Truth Social. For Trump, 280 characters probably is a page of text. He could never organize his thoughts long enough to bang out a real three-page commentary on anybody.
Isn’t that something? The laws in other countries allow people who are “Trump positive” no other crime, to be thrown in prison. Prison, I tell you.

What caused all this, you ask?
The subpoena was received in early December, according to a former Trump campaign official who provided the document to The Post on the condition of anonymity because a criminal investigation is ongoing. The document seeks more than two dozen categories of information, and includes some questions that were not part of a series of similar subpoenas reviewed by The Post that were sent to several dozen people in September.
One part of the four-page legal document asks recipients to reveal if anyone other than themselves is paying for legal representation — and if so, to provide a copy of the retention agreement for that legal work. At least one other former campaign official also received the subpoena, according to that person’s lawyer, who also spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid drawing attention to his client. […]
The subpoena shows the Justice Department is interested in other Trump entities besides the Save America PAC — which The Post and others reported last year was a subject of inquiry by investigators. It seeks “all documents and communications” related to a panoply of other Trump-affiliated groups, including the Make America Great Again PAC, the Save America Joint Fundraising Committee and the Trump Make America Great Again Committee.
Recipients are asked to produce documents related to the “formation, funding and/or use of money” of the groups and to show all employment contracts or correspondence with the groups or officials affiliated with them.
Trump’s losing it because Smith is following the money, plain and simple. From there the article goes on to discuss the Trump Election Defense fund, which as we all know, was pretty much a ruse to get the MAGAs to cough up money so Trump could defend his “right” to remain in the White House. The fund never technically existed because the mechanism it was supposed to fund never existed, in fact or in law. Nevertheless, millions of dollars were raised and the money went somewhere. It looks like the DOJ is hot on the trail of where.
And that ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages, is what Trumpty is freaking about. Careful, Trumpty. You get upset enough, you’ll boil in your shell. Then you’ll be a big white thing with a fat bottom and an orange core, instead of orange all over. Just think about it.
Well, that explains a lot. I can’t help but wonder if that anonymous attorney you mentioned is, like the one Cassidy Hutchinson retained on her own after realizing the dude Trump provided was more concerned with his (Trump’s) interests than hers. Basically, someone else seeing what happened with her and deciding to bite the financial bullet and hire their own, new lawyer who’d work for THEM and them only. If that’s started to happen, and the number is growing I can see Trump freaking the fuck out. Witnesses going back and “correcting” their testimony voluntarily are usually treated gently by prosecutors. But the lawyers who were hired by Trump would at some point have to let him know they’d been dumped. And like I said, once the realization set in that folks he thought he’d bought off were now “singing” would easily be enough to cause the kinds of rants we’re seeing. Because it’s not just about classified documents anymore, but the insurrection riot and just as Hutchinson put Meadows into a fess up or go to jail position, some of the aides/confidants of others close to Trump likely have people they didn’t consider all that important, but who like an Executive Admin Assistant to a major corporate CEO know ALL the boss’s dirty laundry! We’re talking about a number of people who ain’t cut out for prison, and if they can get a stint in a minimum security one for selling out Trump they’ll do so once put in the vise.

There’s no doubt about it that “the devil looks after his own” – for any of us normal humans we would have had a heart attack & died long ago with the stress trump is under. He looks beside himself with rage these days. I am really hoping he does NOT collapse & get out of what is coming to him – the world needs to SEE justice served in this business ! The thing that mystifies me is why so many legal people are prepared to sacrifice their careers & reputation for such a man – surely they all know that in the end they might also get indicted – for what gain ? They likely will not get paid either – why get involved at all ?
If he dies the r’s will make a martyr out of him.
