Fox News was righteously indignant this entire week when the debacle in the House of Representatives was taking place.
They were shocked, I tell you, shocked. What happened two years ago yesterday pretty much rolled off their backs like water off a duck, when, in fact, that was the shocking anti-democratic debacle for which the Republicans were responsible.
So the Daily Show, in an effort to set things right, put together this ditty, which I’m sure you will enjoy.

Isn’t that priceless?
Never forget, 139 House Republicans voted to overturn the will of the voters. That was an attack on democracy, plain and simple.
And a lot of them were incumbents. And they’re still incumbents. And they’re still election deniers.
This is where we are going forward. Kevin McCarthy can stand up there and wave his gavel and play big shot, but the truth is, he’s Speaker in name only. The true Speaker of this House is a MAGA Composite. Let’s see what titular Speaker McCarthy does against the real Speaker, the MC.
I can’t wait.
My sense of it is that the humiliation we saw this week was just an appetizer.
It’s the republican way. No matter how bad we can imagine it beforehand.
They’ll make the reality worse.
I’ve written here, and we’ve had back and forth about the fact that things can always get worse. I agree we are going to see “worse” regularly, and with increasing frequency. Especially if a group of semi-sane Republicans doesn’t stand up and reject that rules package McCarthy negotiated to get the votes to become Speaker.
How can the Democrats exploit the new ‘rules’ ?
