Dinesh D’Souza began his writing career by excreting The End of Racism in 1995, a book so terrible and nonsensical that it was panned by pretty much everybody who knew anything about anything though my favorite statement about that shit show of a polemic was Professor of Literature Michael Bérubé’s assessment that described the book as “encyclopedic pseudoscience”, calling it illogical and saying some of the book’s policy recommendations are fascist; he stated that it is “so egregious an affront to human decency as to set a new and sorry standard for ‘intellectual'”.
Pretty much sums it up.
He pretty much went downhill from that point, perusing jihads against Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, going to jail for using straw donors to over donate to a Senatorial candidate, and crashing his little sled irrevocably at the bottom of the 2000 Mules mountain.
Now he is defending the Orangeutan’s espionage and treason:

Please stop denigrating orangutans! They are honest animals! They’re peaceful, beautiful, loving and tender to their young and families, and smart – NOTHING like the orange evil that inhabited the White House recently who brags about never having changed a diaper and would sell his own kids for a headline. Equating him to an (other than human) animal is really arrogant and ill-informed. Now that we know that bees feel pain and spiders dream, it’s not surprising that all non-human animals are brighter than anyone give them credit for.
There are lots of ways to be clever with his colour and persona without trashing a beautiful ape. Agent Orange (notoriously deadly) perhaps? Unhealthy shit? Lots of things that are orange and just (ok, almost) as bad as he is. the little spelling thing doesn’t change the equation of an evil human to another, more deserving, resident of our planet.
