In a roiling sea of legal trouble, Traitor Tot is going down for the second time in one week. For starters, it had to be as humiliating as hell for Trump to walk into his deposition on Wednesday, get sworn in, sit down, and Shut his fat yap, pleading the 5th 440 times. But that’s nothing when compared to the hurricane sea he’s swimming in after the Monday FBI search of Mar-A-Lago.
Look, any time that Trump has been under the gun, his defenses have never been particularly coherent. He starts with a blanket denial of any misconduct. When that falls apart, he migrates to, So, I did it, but it wasn’t a crime because it’s me! And when that droops like a November peonie, he falls back on, OK, so I did it! So what, it’s over and done with!
Trump just keeps miscalculating. After months of stonewalling and negotiating, Trump bet that Garland didn’t have the stones to move directly against him. He lost. Then he miscalculated again when he released the information of the search, sensing a short term political gain, and betting that Garland would never back tradition and unseal the search warrant and inventory. 0-2 Big Boy.
Let’s be clear. When Trump is under pressure, for a steely eyed real estate tycoon, he’s a total mess. He has the attention span of a 3 week old kitten, and in his mania he latches onto any idea that he feels will get him out of trouble. The problem is, they seldom make sense.
After the search on Monday, on Tuesday Trump had his GOP congressional MAGAts, as well as the brainless trolls at FUX News start spreading the tale that the FBI had actually planted the documents. Meaning that the FBI literally lugged the boxes in with them, so that they could discover them there, and haul them back out again. But that’s a dog with fleas, for 3 reasons.
First, Trump’s lawyer was present for the search. Ooops. Even worse, MSNBC revealed tonight that Trump had actually watched the search via closed circuit feed from his home in New York. Second, the location of the documents wasn’t in question, Trump’s legal team had been negotiating with the DOK over them for months. Third, the FBI actually saw the boxes in June in the basement locker, and told Trump to install more secure locks.
So much for Option A. Time to move on to Option B. Trump started having acolytes appear on far right media and FUX News, that Trump had a standing order that when he removed classified documents from the secure Oval Office, and took them upstairs to the personal residence, they were automatically declassified. Sweet Jesus! Where do I even begin? Trump wouldn’t even listen to a verbal PDB, much less read one. What was he doing taking TS/SCI documents upstairs with him? Boning up for a morning meeting he had no interest in, and wouldn’t participate in? More importantly, what does declassification have to do with documents that Trump claims were planted at Mar-A-Lago?
Trump’s niece, board certified clinical psychologist Mary Trump, nailed him to the wall months ago. She said that Donald has lived his life in a comfortable, self contained, illusionary world of wealth, success, and privilege. Donald is incapable of dealing with reality. And now that reality is knocking down his comfortable walls, Trump is falling apart at the seams. Don’t touch that dial.
I’ve read some psychologists/psychiatrists think he can’t handle the narcissistic injury of all these investigations/lawsuits and that he will decompensate to the point he may become catatonic. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, but never having to hear his voice again would be a blessing.
Given his diet, obesity & the degree of stress he must be under, uh oh spagettio. Nature is a little more hard assed than he’s used to. Sounds like stoke city or heart attack alley.
Good thing we voted him out or there wouldn’t be a dish left in the White House.

It’s taken years, but everything is finally hitting the wall for Trump. He deserves everything and more, after all the lying, manipulation, and crassness. I still don’t understand the number of people who think Trump is a great man.
