Ahead of Trump’s Law and Order speech to be given tomorrow at the America First Policy Institute’s two-day “America First Agenda”, only 1 1/2 miles from The Capitol, which Jim Acosta wryly calls “Returning to the scene of the crime, President Biden today ripped into Trump for his part in stirring up the Jan. 6th, 2020 insurrection and then not taking steps to end it as police officers suffered through “medieval hell”.

“You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-cop,” Biden said. “You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-democracy. You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-American.”

“Drawing from evidence presented at Thursday’s primetime Jan. 6 Committee hearing, Biden ripped Trump for sitting idly in a private White House dining room “while brave law enforcement officers” were “subject to the medieval hell for three hours, dripping in blood, surrounded by carnage, face-to-face with a crazed mob that believed the lies of the defeated president.”…

…Trump’s team says there’s no cognitive split-screen dissonance between his planned public-safety-oriented message Tuesday and his actions on Jan. 6, which have been detailed in the series of high-profile congressional hearings.

What Trump senses is an opportunity to address Americans’ concern about their own safety, one adviser said.”

Trump’s team, to put it bluntly, is full of shit.

Trump’s action on January 6th caused multiple deaths and many injuries to law enforcement officers and directly led to the death of one of his supporters as she tried to breech police defenses and break into the inner sanctum of The House to threaten House members there.

Joe is right to be angry at the brazen action of Trump returning to the “scene of the crime” and offer his warped ideas on lawful behavior.

Give him hell, Joe.

  1. This highlights the one thing I keep getting frustrated about when it comes to covering Uncle Joe. Damn near NOBODY gives him any credit. He does exactly what he is supposed to, is gradually pulling us out of the ditch we’re in and continues to demonstrate why he put Mr. Tangerine Man like a tambourine. Yet, because he isn’t young, fashionable or loud, people keep bashing him instead of acknowledging what he has done (if you’re MSM) or getting much-needed therapy to process the previous trauma (if you’re the marks they use for clicks and page views).

It would therefore behoove to quit pretending that we know better than he does at this game. The very slick way he just shanked Mitch McConnell on that Kentucky judge speaks to my point.

    • Actually I agree. Trump almost destroys NATO…Biden reestablished it at a crucial time. Trump unleashes the virus, having been caught on tape in February 2020 acknowledging its deadly ease of spread, yet does NOTHING except lie daily spreading death. No shots. No PPE. Just drink bleach. Biden provides EVERYTHING to limit it but 30% of us decide to be petri dishes for variants, encouraged by tater tot. Over one million dead conservatively, ALL of which can be laid at frump’s feet. Hair Hitler stomped the gas pedal on climate change putting the fossil fuel industry in charge of the EPA. He tried every trick to steal the election for a second time, but when that failed, he planned and carried out a violent coup against OUR government. Biden didn’t get all of his plan through to save us all but did get enough to keep millions of families afloat with unemployment & payments for children. He’s done an amazing job but seems ageism rears it’s ugly head & a lot of young folks I talk to don’t support him. I do point out then they support the fascists of the GOP & they REALLY won’t like what happens next. Self centered narcissism of youth. Hope I’m wrong & they start paying attention. I turn 69 next month so I won’t be around as the planet becomes Venus, but they will. Plus if Biden didn’t have two traitors in the senate, a lot more positive stuff would be in place. The media screams when a problem comes up then it’s crickets when he addresses it. Baby formula anyone?

      • Actually, the worst critiques ain’t from the kids (who are just as silly, idealistic and ill-informed as all of us once were) but folks in our respective age brackets. They’re all old enough to know better but refuse to practice the honesty to DO better. And do NOT get me started on the trauma projection all of those folks do (which the 2000s should have taught all of them doesn’t work).

  2. Returning to the scene of the crime-that is quite accurate and every media outlet in the country OUGHT to be using it if they feel they have to provide any coverage of whatever carnival the barker is going to attend.

Of course if they had done their job in 2015/2016 we might not be saddled with this moron.

  3. He needs to be charged with insurrection and he needs to be charged with manslaughter. The law states that if you commit a crime and someone is either seriously injured or dies you are responsible whether you were there or not. And from what we have learned was that the secret service kept the orange moron from being there. And this clown wants to be our president. We should make him president of the inmates of the nearest maximum security federal prison we can find. And he should reside there for the rest of his miserable life.
