This would be interesting if it happens. What I think really happened here was an unintentional timing screw up in the announcement of the announcement of Trump running in 2024. I will say that America’s premiere conspiracy theorist and fabulist wants you to know that July 4 will be a big day in Trump world and if he’s right, the beginning of yet another big ring circus event in 2024.
We speculate that Ron DeSantis is depending upon Trump not running. Like us, DeSantis is waiting for the other shoe to drop in a number of legal conflicts, to wit, the January 6 issue, the investigation in Georgia headed by Fani Willis, the Fulton County district attorney, the ongoing New York State investigation headed by Leticia James and we could go on.
Trump may or may not announce. Who knows? But Alex Jones thinks he is. And as for the timing, two days before Pat Cipollone testifies? I would say that’s not the greatest idea but then again, I don’t have knowledge of whether Cipollone will in fact show up, or play in the same sandbox as Michael Flynn and Steve Bannon, either avoiding testimony altogether or pleading the Fifth.

That was yesterday afternoon. I’m unclear as to exactly what time of day. Also late afternoon yesterday, around 4:00 p.m. PT, the subpoena of Pat Cipollone was announced.
My take on this is that Trump is not going to announce July 4. Two reasons: 1) I doubt that he was going to announce in the first place on July 4 because then his grifting would have to stop and he would have to abide by campaign finance laws, which is not exactly his strong suit; 2) The announcement of Pat Cipollone’s subpoena would give anyone in his position pause.
Ergo, I think Alex Jones is full of it, but what else is new?

I wouldn’t put it past him, to try and drum up some kind of sensationalism, to draw attention away from the hearings. That would fit his pattern, but it probably won’t be to announce running for POTUS.
I can’t see him running because then he has to account for money with the FEC. Otherwise, I might be persuaded that Alex Jones’ prediction was real.
Come on! We know where Alex Jones (dirty, broke, untouchable that no one hoping for a future ever talks to) gets his information — From Mike (the pillowman) Lindell, and we all know his GREAT record for announcing “Earth-Shattering” News on specific dates. Trump is working too hard building his “get-away” funds from his worshippers before the indictments and warrants arrive. He leaves the”earth-shattering” announcements to Jones & Lindell & occasionally to Giuliani & other “lawyers” & wanna-be lawyers.
I was wondering if Roger Stone’s confidant was Lindell. If this is the best brain trust that Trump has around him, he truly is screwed. I believe that Ivanka and Jared have left the building.
He uses rumors to get attention. If he tries to run, his advisers should tell him that it’s a legal admission he lost in 2020 and his “legal fight” campaigns will have to shut down. Find out which is more important to him: the money or the power.
I agree. The minute he starts running in earnest, that undercuts the CT that he’s been ruling in secret all this time with a Joe Biden clone on a movie set faking it. It’s a can of worms no matter how you look at it. And scary precedent is being set right now with all the election denying candidates who lost primaries stirring the pot.
Ursula, you’re far too logical. Trump can say whatever nonsense he wants and he’ll get what he wants ($$$$) from the MAGATs. He can announce on July 4th that he’s absolutely running for a THIRD term in 2024, but he won’t start the actual campaign until all the leaders of ANTIFA (Biden, Pelosi, the J6 committee, etc.) are behind bars in Guantánamo. And to help speed that effort, “transfer all your bank accounts to [whatever front I’m currently using]” to collect money. If you’re dying of COVID, remember Trump in your will. Otherwise we’ve lost America. Because they’re coming for your guns, etc.
