Kari Lake used to be a proud Democrat, we are told. At least she spoke of how she contributed to Barack Obama and had this photo made.

What a difference a few years make. Fast forward to a conspiracy theory driven Kari Lake, running for governor of Arizona, cracking wise about Hunter Biden’s drug taking and sucking up to Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Maybe she’s vying for the shotgun seat on the 2024 GOP ticket? You have to admit, she knows how to stroke his ego. Even Mike Pence could take a few pointers here.
"He saved the Republican Party." Is that what you say about a guy who lost the White House *and* both houses of Congress for the Republicans? https://t.co/FbSYviyo8w

“The man with the golden combover and the spray painted tan, who descended his escalator to walk among mere mortals, just as Jesus was born a man, to do the same.”
Listen, once upon a time, it might have been considered blasphemy in the churches to say things like this, believe me, it’s not nowadays. Take a listen to this.
Trump-loving beauty industry executive Leigh Valentine claims to have had a prophetic dream in 1987 of the nation cloaked in darkness until Trump emerged: "He was this bright light that God Almighty had anointed." pic.twitter.com/2emMV2yPcc

The bright light, the golden hair, the beautiful escalator coming from on high. Here, we need some appropriate music.
I cannot believe that anybody really believes this bullshit. Even if you don’t think he’s a con artist, Trump was a reality TV actor born to great wealth, which he squandered. And that makes him divine?
Here’s what I think is closer to the truth.

And this is true.

Look at it this way: the evangelicals were on the fringe in the GOP for years. Anybody sane in the Republican party wanted to keep them there. Remember what Barry Goldwater said?

He was right and the GOP finally embraced the evangelicals, in desperation, just like they put Trump on the top of their ticket, in desperation. Now acts of desperation are being made out to be divine acts of God. In any event, here we are.

Bobo the clown, Margie Kooky Pants, and this twat really set women back several centuries.
