CPAC should change its name from Conservative to Cesspool Political Action Committee, because the worst of MAGA world ideas is represented there today. It goes without saying that the stolen election farce is being treated as gospel. It’s been eight months now. It’s pretty much carved in stone, we might as well just accept it. The Republicans have never respected the election process. They proved that with gerrymandering and voter suppression, this is just the next level of that same process.
There was actually one Republican present at CPAC who didn’t think the election was stolen. I hope the man gets out with his skin intact once the other GOPers see this clip. Here’s the man bites dog story.

This is an American tragedy. At least in the past, whatever side lost acknowledged that and congratulated the winner, all efforts were made to reconcile and move on. The most cynical amongst us will admit that there was great power in the loser conceding and the winner vowing to be the president of all people. That is gone now. Now, we have the sulking man child Trump making up a fantasy of cloak and dagger intrigue and the Republicans choose to listen to him, in the face of all evidence to the contrary. They don’t see the evidence to the contrary.
Even Karl Rove said early on, that “it would take a conspiracy at the level of a James Bond movie” to put together widespread fraud like Trump was talking about. But nobody’s listening to Rove, or anybody in the party with common sense. No, the Rethugs want to listen to their cult leader and baste themselves in imaginary grievance.
This is the 2022 and 2024 platform, “stolen election.” Forget about those kitchen table issues, the Republicans don’t have a kitchen table. They’re telling their constituents that somebody took it.
This is not healthy, to go from bipartisan to warring tribes, but here we are.
What videos are there that show rioters being invited in? Did those women see them are just hear about them? I’ve never seen one.
What part of smashing the doors and windows to gain access was being ‘invited’ in? Morons!
When you have no ideas or vision, this is your only option.
