Friends, can you take a moment to try to come on the site and just see if you can get on? We need to test this new set up now. We should have the SSL security certificate in force. Let’s test it out.
Also, please let me know if you are getting notifications per usual. That is crucial.

Working smooth so far, Ursula. Got in through the link, no trouble. Knew you’d get there! Here’s to a prosperous future for Politizoom!
No e-mail notifications, just the Twitter one when I go onmline.
Ir’s also not saving my log-in and there is no log-in button, nor is there a likes/dislike option (which could be a good thing). ASnd yes, I did ttick the ;remember me’ box
On the bright side, however, we seem to have temoprarily mislaid the trolls
No email notifications on anything?
No email notifications here but can just get in with firefox when I couldn’t before, Don’t see a “remember me” and so far everything goes to modification.
Yes, it is working and secure. I do not see the voting buttons, which also could be a good thing.
So far, so good. Hoping things will only improve from here.
Having problems with Firefox at present. I got to the Home page and it looked like a website page from 1995 or so; the top bar with the date, sign in/join, etc all appeared on their own lines as hyperlinks as did the categories list and none of the photos loaded. Normally, I open the articles as new tabs but when I did that on Firefox, I got “problem loading page” and when I clicked on the link to “Contact us,” I got a “security warning” (ironically, suggesting I contact the website owners of the problem). On a related tangent, the Firefox pages were loading as “politizoom.com” rather than the earlier “temp.domain” or “domain.temp” URLs they had been.
I have Microsoft Edge as another browser (I really don’t like it though), so I tried it and the pages have all behaved normally so it looks like there are still some kinks that need to be worked out.
Okay. Back on Firefox. The homepage is still looking like a refugee from 1995 Web design but when I clicked on the “We should be back” article link (directly, rather than “open in new tab” manner), the page looked normal. I’m still getting a “connection not secure” icon (a lock with a little yellow triangle with white exclamation mark) in the browser bar.
And, when I posted a reply yesterday, I filled out the name/email information and checked the “save” box but whatever gremlins are still glitching the site seem to have wiped those out. So, fill and save again.
Oh. And the images are loading on the homepage on Firefox. But, the 1995 refugee bit still seem to apply.
On the browser bar, now it seems the homepage is still showing up with “temp.domains” on Firefox but the articles are showing “politizoom.com”. Maybe that “temp.domains” deal is why the homepage looks like it’s from 1995.
(And I’m getting tired of seeing my own name in the comments here, so I think I’m done here for the night, Ursula. Here’s hoping the next time I check the site, everything’s completely hunky-dory.)
Working great! Thank you for all your hard work!
Yes! On the site. What was that???
Looks good to me.
got an error message when trying to comment
Well. i guess should tried harder.
Oops I posted on 00:23 on 01.27/21. off by 6 hours
Wondered what was happening, when Yahoo indicated the connection was not secure [no ‘https’]. Glad to see the barbarians have been routed and things are back to normal!
Still having issues with the homepage on Firefox. The little “descriptor” tag at the top is reading “Page not found – Welcome” and the browser address is displaying “http://box5387.temp.domains/~politizo/”
The browser address for this page (which I opened in a new tab) is displaying “https://politizoom.com/we-should-be-back-on-the-air-and-your-connection-should-be-secure/”.
I suppose I’ll try to clear cookies and site data and see if stuff clears for the homepage.
Okay. This should be the final need to comment on this.
I cleared the cookies and site data and then typed in “politizoom.com” preceded by “https://” and the site (ie, the homepage) COMPLETELY returned to its usual normal contemporary look. I’d just been entering “politizoom.com” in the browser bar and, for most other sites, the “https://” usually fills in the address display but, for some reason, it wasn’t doing so before clearing everything.
Now, the little padlock symbol is unmarked by anything else. So, I guess my next test point will be to see if I can just type in “politizoom.com” and get the proper look. Gonna do that right now. BRB.
Okay, back and it worked okay, though it took a little more time than usual. So, I hope we’re all good to go.
Oh, there is one other little thing: The time stamp on the comments. Based on the above comment, it looks like my comments are time stamped as + 6 hours (I posted the above at 4:20 am CST but it displays as 10:20 am and, by the time I hit “Post Comment” here, it’ll be 4:23 am CST but should display as 10:23 am).
What’s up?
So sorry for all the technical trouble. Glad that the site is appearing as normal again. Thank you for letting us know about the comment timestamps; should be an easy fix. If you experience any other problems with the site, please email [email protected] for assistance. 🙂
I was so happy to see the site pop up this morning, I thought my job was blocking it!
Yes, it’s really irritating to have to re-input your info every time you want to comment. I do see a like dislike button for the actual post (apparently many others don’t because I see very few likes) but I can’t like or dislike the comments.
Not accepting my login creds. Try password recovery and says email not found.
Do I have to re-create my account? If so, how? Only sing-in, not sign-up dialog
Unfortunately we weren’t able to transfer some of the user profiles. But if you send an email to [email protected], I can get you all set up. 🙂
Browser didn’t have my password saved, and, trying to get one sent, it tells me it can’t find my email. Something screwy there, especially when I’d put it in the form. No biggy….
So pleased to see politizoom again. Email link worked fine and welcome back from the UK!
