Another day, another off-the-wall scene at the White House. Donald Trump got up at the podium to announce twenty new names added to the list of potential supreme court justices, among them, Tom Cotton and Ted Cruz. That in itself would give the press corps, the public, and any sentient being with two synapses still firing occasion for pause. But this august list is taking a back seat to the response Trump gave when asked about the fact that Bob Woodward’s new book exposes his lies about COVID-19.
Only hearing is believing.

“We have to show leadership, and leadership is all about confidence. Confidence is all about confidence in our country.”
“I’m a cheerleader for this country. We want to show confidence. We don’t want to instill panic.”
If anything will “instill panic” it’s the idea that there’s somebody heading up the government who doesn’t believe that the American people are entitled to the truth or to deal in reality — and who need a con man/showman, to give them a song and dance instead.
And then he went on to blame Chy-nuh, as always. That’s truly ironic, when you recall his praise of how Xi had it under control, back in February.

I guess we’ll go through all the ritual of the debates and whatever else needs to be done between now and November 3. I don’t know how many nails this coffin needs, but I guess we’ll find out. Anybody heard from the people in the “Dark Shadows” lately, just by the by?

Nails, screws, bolts. As many as needed.
Plus some garlic and a few crosses.
I’m thinking the “Mid-Pacific Peace Prize”, awarded at 35000 feet, as the recipient(s) get shoved out the door, somewhere between Hawaii and NZ. Current potential nominees: Himself and his immediate adult family, all his WH staffers (past and present), all his appointees (past and present), and all the Rs in both houses of Congress.
Gosh, u should run for office when you’ve got such great civic ideas.
‘I want to project strength’ says Trump.
By lying.
That nicely sums up the entire Trump ethos.
The ONLY “cheerleading” he does, or has done when it comes to the pandemic is for his own re-election.
190,000+ cases of “negligent homicide”……ladies and gentlemen, I give you the most prolific serial killer in American history…..
Donald John Trump.
HOW many people in America are walking around anywhere who have deliberately killed 200,000 people(& counting)??? Poor Charlie manson. He only got 7 people killed. Not at the scene. Accused of mind control, by the ‘honest & expert, testimony of the police, a friend of Dennis wilson, & Trump lives like a king paid for by the taxpayers. WOW!
I read where Himself is not doing any debate prep. He has this off-the-cuff thing mastered. I’m guessing his debate performances should help nail his coffin.
All his off-the-cuff speaking is insane word salad.
Every day it seems there is a new atrocity committed by this man and everyone says he can’t go any lower than this, and yet, he manages to go lower.
And he has been nominated by a Norwegian for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize…dear Lord!
As you can imaghine, that Norwegian’s a rightwingdinger politician, anti-immigration, anti-Muslim, anti-climate-awareness, pro-Putin, pro-Russian-aggression-in-Ukraine … so of course he belongs the “Progress Party.” He also nominated Trump in 2018 for the Nobel, for sucking up to Kim Jung Un.
Note that this is the SECOND time this same fruitcake has nominated him!
