Except that we don’t want to; give the man points for emphatically not giving up and stepping down. He doesn’t care about the scandals. He says he can do the job. But his record in Washington is poor, and he doesn’t seem to give a damn about the American people, particularly the ones in his “home” state.
We all know what this guy has done. There’s no specific evidence except her word against him, but would this have stayed around so long otherwise? There is always a kernel of truth behind all rumors. The question is how big or small the kernel is. The X-rays of his daughter’s collarbone are one piece of proof. It’s angering that they didn’t hide the rest of her body. All of us were furious about that. Have we seen any other documentation, police report, anything? If so, it seems to be well hidden.
Not only do the two senators in his state feel he should have stepped aside, but bipartisan statements say he should have done so. It’s close to midterms now, and there isn’t a way to replace him as a candidate. It is curious as to why he wasn’t removed, but that’s something else that may come out as time goes by, especially after he loses. Well, it’s not certain, but we can be hopeful.
Although the GOP-aligned Congressional Leadership Fund has put money into ads for Max, he has also been forced to put his own money into his campaign. There are multiple signs that he should have stepped down, and that is certainly one of them. The voters in Ohio seem to have no idea who Max is outside of the ads and scandal, whether they are red or blue. His record in Washington is crap, including support for the Forever War, support for blanket tariffs, and voting to cut funding for healthcare. That’s not exactly auspicious.
His opponent is blue-collar, and his name is Brian Poindexter. He has a few misdemeanors on his record, which is nothing compared to Max. He’s done well with his fundraising and has the backing of House Majority PAC, a super PAC affiliated with House Democrats. The support is definitely there for him. And the belief in him is there. One would think that ads would be done about his qualifications and what he wants to do in Washington instead of all attack ads. But who are we to tell them what to do?
All-attack ads do not reflect well on the person who is putting them out. That’s one of the frustrating parts of elections. They should want to be the bigger person, and attack ads bring them down to their opponent’s level. Campaigns are a delicate balance. Politics seems to cater to the wealthy and those they know. Max had the money to put into his campaign. Mr. Poindexter has been climbing on his own.
It would be a blessing for Max to lose. Ohio does not need someone like him representing their state. We need some new blood across America. We need elected officials who will do their damnedest to DO something in Congress. We need strong people. And Mr. Poindextor could and should be one.

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
