And lo, the “HUHs?” ensued. Apparently, it was for the Department of Defense, except it’s actually the Department of War now. YeaNo. It made absolutely no sense. It was about people exercising with shirts labeled “This is War”. Hegseth put out a video earlier that had him in one of the shirts, too. Whoop de doo. Yes, we’re in a war with no planning, and now it’s what Iran or the US is going to do on any given day, since it changes that fast.
Petey Boy is in over his head on this one. No high-powered speech or video will help that. And he won’t listen to his military leaders, both in the White House and on the water. Trump is not helping. He says he is going to destroy Iran completely, or that talks have started (again). Back and forth and back and forth and so on ‘til we get nauseous. We want this thing to be over. We can guess that the people on the water are quietly thinking the same thing, without saying so.
We did not need this war. We did not want this war out in the world. What happened to America First? It’s gone with all the other promises he broke. Now Hegseth and Trump have started a war they have no idea how to finish. It seems that manly man videos are to drum up support for the military and the war. It isn’t working. We’re exhausted.
Hegseth has made a ridiculous number of changes in the military, which were completely stupid to us and bad for the service members. For example, his attitude about men shaving had no exceptions for skin issues. That’s just petty. You either shaved or you left the military. Then there’s physically calling in the leaders of our military from their stations to strut on a stage and yell that “things were going to be different now!” He looked like a bantam rooster up there, trying to prove his worth. Trump decided he had to come and speak, too. That was also embarrassing. He doesn’t do well with people who simply pay attention. They aren’t MAGA.
Nothing thus far has impressed us. That includes both starting the war and staying in the war. It was a debacle from the start. We woke up, and we were at war. There was no plan, not even a tentative one, as far as we can tell. We aren’t discussing the “reasons”, just the lack of a plan. We threw a lot of bombs and missiles at it, that are going to be very slow to replace. We killed civilians mostly. And it looked like we hammered buildings. So? That did nothing about making sure Iran never had a nuclear weapon.
Petey Boy and Trumpy Trump have worn us out on this. Hegseth isn’t even funny or much fun to write about anymore, except in the obvious nitwit example of today. This is War. Yeah, uh-huh. Whatever Hegseth. Go away. You bother us. And you’ve probably driven a lot of potential recruits away. We may lose a lot of people when their time comes to re-up. Well done.
