The Wall Street Journal has been surprising us lately. They are shredding Trump and his lies, lies, lies. We do that too, but on a smaller scale. But this time it’s all about Iran after Trump stunned us with that insane speech at the United Nations. That’s going to hurt us a LOT. All the nations of the world are looking at us and wondering what the hell happened. We feel it too because, at this point, the dementia or something similar going on with Trump has gotten to a point where he is totally unpredictable. And we have to live with him.
This editorial came out shortly after that speech. There are things Trump has said that are the norm these days. Threatening Iran with blowing them off the globe is old and tired. He’s used it up, and no one cares anymore, including us. We want out. We want to leave this farce of a Forever War, Iran version. We are mightily pissed at Trump about the whole thing. Yes, Hegseth might have egged him on, but the final step is taken by Trump. It’s going to be intriguing to see how this all plays out.
The military members on the boats are probably tired of it too. They’ve had to stare at water for months. And sit in one place blocking ships coming through the Strait of Hormuz. It’s pointless because Iran isn’t letting *anyone* through. Nothing. It could be expected to continue because Iran claims they won’t let anyone through until Trump and Netanyahu are out of power. Well, that’s going to be a while. We don’t know if we’ll be able to impeach him or not. And Trump’s ‘cabinet’ isn’t going to be inclined to boot him out, either. Therefore, for us it’s going to be 2 years and about 3 months before we can get him out (and the way things are going, it’s likely to get worse. We don’t know if it will improve or not.)

Hours after Trump warned he could “annihilate” Iran’s regime during his Tuesday address to the General Assembly, the Rupert Murdoch-owned paper’s editors argued the threat would land harder if Trump hadn’t already worn it out. The warning would be more credible “if the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and we hadn’t heard it several times by now,” the board wrote, noting this year’s speech was comparatively subdued — “no escalator sabotage” — with the drama confined to the annihilation threat itself.
“Iran is going to heed what the President does, not what he threatens to do,” the editors predicted. “When the annihilation talk rings false, it hurts U.S. deterrence around the world. It also hurts Mr. Trump at home because it doesn’t look like the U.S. is winning. He’s better off explaining his strategy to win the war and for seeing it through—before and after the midterms.”
Do we think he’ll listen? That would be an oh HELL NO because his pride and ego won’t let him pack up his toys and go home. They won’t let him leave because then Iran would have won the war. But the article from the WSJ might help straighten him out. If it even causes him to think, maybe, possibly, maybe, it will help. Only hoping for that for a short time. We also have a lot of things to worry about here. Mr. Orange Ego is “stuck with a fork; he’s done”. Heh, don’t we wish?
