For as storied and aged as this newspaper is, this is about the last thing you would expect to hear. A Wall Street Journal editor has TDS, and he pointed it out himself. It’s after a couple of stages, which you will see later on. On the other hand, they’ve been more for democracy and less for Trump in terms of the editorials. That was … unexpected. Considering the source, you see. Could the entire editorial board have TDS, too? The most recent editorials certainly seem as if they are.

On the other hand, it seems that younger newspapers and a lot of websites are certainly more pro-democracy and less about Trump, which makes him a little nuts, so he goes and throws them out of the White House entirely. Yet another temper tantrum, although it does seem that he has gone “bigger and better and bonkers”, especially for throwing out CNN and MS NOW, plus Politico and Raw Story. Yes, my go-to site has also been thrown out. A different article said that the press pool meeting was a disaster because there were none of the usual microphones, so no one could really hear. Hopefully, that made Trump think twice about what he did. Too bad that’s highly unlikely. It’s going to drive him even more bonkers.

And now for a few words from our source, Raw Story:

Wall Street Journal editor-at-large Gerard Baker “diagnosed” himself on Monday with a severe case of TDS” — or “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” a derogatory term MAGA supporters use for anyone they believe just hates Trump for the sake of hating him. This wasn’t always the case, Baker said. Now, however, wrote Baker, I have “not one malady but three: as my condition has steadily progressed over the last year from Trump disappointment syndrome through Trump disillusionment syndrome to a full-blown case of Trump dismay syndrome.”

That’s slick. There are 4 levels total, so you have 3 to go through before you reach full-blown Trump Derangement Syndrome. Some of us skipped all the earlier levels to go right to full-on TDS. Now, do any of the other editors have the same “problem”? This could go on for a while after this column because there is far too much entertainment to be had if we’ve gone to a 4-step program, or simply skipped 1 to 3 and gone right to complete TDS. We are in good company if a WSJ editor has it.

But it also says something significant. The WSJ was not always this forward-looking. Now, admittedly, it was seen a number of years ago, but it was more news (in tiny font) and could almost have been called “stuffy,” but it certainly isn’t anymore, not with their editorials making *other* news. Welcome to TDS Land. We’ll all have a good time!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
