This is good. The FCC is a coward. Or under someone’s thumb. They would not let part of the show air. Well, it’s annoying, but okay because there’s this platform called YouTube. (It wouldn’t work on TikTok.) If they couldn’t do something that way, they would find another way. James Talarico and Jimmy Kimmel are a wonderful, deadly pair. Shall we see why? Yes, indeed. Much respect for Raw Story:

Texas state Rep. James Talarico told late-night host Jimmy Kimmel he’s grateful to President Donald Trump in an interview the president’s Federal Communications Commission refused to let air on television. “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” published the interview with Talarico, the Democrat running for Senate against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, on YouTube instead, just before midnight on Thursday. By Friday morning, the video the “FCC doesn’t want you to see,” as Kimmel’s show described it, had been viewed more than 1.4 million times.

How about that? Trump’s FCC didn’t want it to air because Talarico is a Democrat running for a seat that Trump thinks should go to a member of “his” party, because he doesn’t want Democrats to flip Congress, which is definitely possible from what we have seen thus far. He’s really worried about that, and well, he should be. Even if we only flip the House, that’s enough for him to be worried. But he should be sweating bullets, because we have a chance in the Senate. Please understand this is a guess. We don’t know the actual reason.

We have a chance to flip all of Congress. It could very well start here with Paxton’s defeat. There are other races that are just as important. This one is a bit more visible because Trump shoved himself into it. That’s why Talarico should win, too. It will drive Donnie crazy. And he won’t ever be able to escape the knowledge that it was a large part his doing.

During Kimmel’s talk with Talarico, the pair took several jabs at Trump, but the candidate admitted he was grateful to the president for a surprising reason: He coined the phrase Talafreako.” “I am excited to announce we have ‘I’m a Talafreako’ t-shirts,” Talarico said. “It’s actually the fastest-selling item on our website! We’re grateful to the president for the nickname.”

What a great way to poke at Trump and put money into the campaign funding. We should get one. Again, if Trump finds out, he’s going to have a temper tantrum. Here he was, trying to attack Talarico, and they turned it back on him. Talafreako is funny just on its own. Here it was supposed to be derogatory, an attack. It. Did. Not. Work. Gotta love it.

We really do need to pay attention to this race. It’s pretty darn important. We need this seat. This is in a red state, so a Democrat winning a Senate seat there really is Very Important. Paxton is not worth the time it takes to type his name. And yes, he continues to screw up, whereas Talarico is catching everything thrown at him and throwing it back twice as hard. Talarico and Kimmel make a deadly pair, don’t they?

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
