This appears to be deliberate sabotage on his part. It doesn’t make any sense, but then Trump isn’t making much sense these days. If he’s so worried about Democrats flipping Congress, he should be doing work *for* the candidates, not against. He knows what will happen if we do, which means he’ll be stonewalled about projects, just like we know he will throw his absolute immunity over ‘cabinet’ members and stonewall us, but the question remains. Why is he dragging down Republicans?
He must really be going downhill if he’s not doing anything for his chosen people. He just put a small amount of money into Paxton’s campaign, which was nothing even close to what he’s going to need. Elon tossed in some, which could be seen in two ways – he wants to keep his apparent bad-candidate backing record intact, or he wants to look good for Trump, since they didn’t exactly part on the best of terms. And he has a monstrous data center in Texas.
Trump is also not doing anything for the others who are in stiff races, such as here in Georgia. We don’t have any information on *any* other donations to war chests. We know that would be a big deal as soon as it was found out, but nothing has shown up anywhere at all. Trump is not out there supporting *anyone*. Why not? Instead, he just rants and raves and threatens, which is not doing anyone any good, including our nation, when he goes off on Iran.
He would rather talk about his vanity projects than run the country. Look at the Reflecting Pool debacle. Look at the Kennedy Center. Look at the ballroom and the triumphal arch. He is so much more interested in those and more that it appears losing Congress doesn’t matter to him. He may get stonewalled on bills, but he can stonewall us on what *we* want done. Getting those majorities that can’t be overridden is something we have to face. Anything that Trump has to sign off on is going to be not just a battle, but a major battle.

Ex-Rep Charlie Dent (R-PA) grimaced on air when MS NOW host Peter Alexander revealed the president had once again posted an image on Truth Social that referred to New Mexico as “New America.” “I think most Americans look at this and they say, ‘What is he doing?’” said Dent.
“The president of the United States needs to be focusing on the hard issues, resolving this war, dealing with affordability,” Dent said. “He continues to obsess over the ballroom and the Kennedy Center and the reflecting pool — I mean, all these sorts of things that are completely irrelevant to Americans’ lives.”
That is absolute gospel; no religious inference meant. The one thing he’s doing that is relevant to American lives is the Forever Iran War, and we most definitely do NOT like it. It’s starting to be seen as another vanity project. Trump is trying to make himself look big and tough. The rest of us are tired of Trump, tired of the war. We’re well aware that Iran has no fear of us anymore, if they ever did at all. Trump needs to get out of Iran, then sit down and shut up. But if or until he does, he’s hurting Republicans, whether they are trying to get a new position or running again for another term. No one can get him to see this. Good for us.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love.
