What a bunch of hooey. This gentleman was in such bad shape to actually have jumped off the ship, but instead of being helped, he’s being hurt. Petey Boy is a dick. And really, the Navy is a dick for their actions. What in the hell is wrong that no one can see how rough it is for their people? 5,000 people doesn’t mean everyone is alone, but to be in that condition and then be punished is something that should make us very, very angry.
This is from Wednesday, but the anger level is such that it needed to be said. We know what has been happening on the USS Lincoln. We *think* they are finally on the way home, although as Denis pointed out previously, we aren’t *certain* they’re on the way home. They should never have been out that long, and Trump is a rude, tasteless, uncaring dick. But we knew that. It’s sad, really. Fighting his war, and he talks about them like dirt. Why does he make us so angry? Should we be used to him by now? This should *never* be commonplace. Our military should be treated with dignity for what they do, which a lot of us can’t do!!

According to charging documents revealed by MS NOW, she continued, the sailor is being accused of going on absence without leave and “malingering,” or a service member “intentionally faking an illness or hurting themselves to avoid work duty or service,” meaning they’re claiming he faked being suicidal — despite the fact he reportedly warned his command he was suffering from health issues.
“To make matters somehow even worse, his wife also said that upon being medically evacuated and sent back to San Diego, he was taken to Balboa Naval Medical Center for five days, where he did not see a psychiatrist or a therapist,” said Psaki. “And then after being released from the hospital, he was told to go back, right back to work.” He didn’t even get a therapy appointment until today, said Psaki.
What is wrong with this picture??!!! Yes, you have to be tough to be in the military, but something documented like this should be handled with care, not punishment! He went AWOL and/or was malingering because he went over? There are not enough words to describe how wrong this is, especially after he asked for help. Come on, people! 9 months of looking at water with horrible conditions on board? We’re lucky we didn’t actually lose anyone.
Once again, allow me to reiterate that I have no real military experience. Denis is the one who knows everything. Some of this is just common sense. People are people, brought up different ways, trained on different things, but they’re still people, and to treat them this badly means there’s something wrong that needs to be fixed. Unfortunately, we don’t know if it will be fixed, or if it’s even fixable at all. Getting Petey Boy the hell out of the Pentagon might help. Or send him out to spend even a week on a ship and get him an attitude correction. Take care of our people!
