He is bringing it on himself and his party. We have something to look forward to. When we flip Congress, by gosh and by golly, Trump will be walking through sludge for the rest of his term. He thinks he’s going to steal midterms. Not happening. He and they are already trying a couple of shenanigans, and they’ve been caught. Then there are all the cases they are losing trying to get voter rolls. And sending ICE or the National Guard to polling/electoral locations. If at first he loses, he will lose, lose again. That goes for Todd Blanche, too. He’s not having much luck either.

Raw Story has some details.

A new column offers an intriguingly optimistic prediction about President Donald Trump’s reaction to a potential Republican midterm wipeout. The Bulwark’s Andrew Egger argued the 80-year-old president is already bracing for a midterm defeat and will likely lash out at Republicans in Congress when it happens, pointing to his own social media activity as evidence. “He’ll be furious. He’ll be crashing out. And we already know exactly what he’ll be saying,” the columnist added. “For all his happy talk, it seems like he’s really starting to feel like his party is blowing it,” Egger wrote. “And, of course, he’s deeply convinced it’s anybody else’s fault but his.”

Of course. Nothing that goes wrong is because of him, only when something goes right. He hasn’t had much go right lately, either. How about the Trump Rally for our country’s 250th birthday? The one he hijacked from the *real* organization? And the air alert from the fireworks that hung over DC for days. We could list all sorts of problems just around that event. Remember the recent column where only 3 out of 50 states approve of him?

Republicans know he’s noxious; he’s lethal because of that ego. America isn’t happy with him, and Republicans need to stay far away to have even a minuscule chance at a win. It’s a little late for them to be realizing that now. Some seats that used to be dyed-in-the-wool red now … aren’t. Allow me to remind you of Denis’s column from yesterday. Trump can’t see he is the problem. Others can’t see he’s the problem. But we can now safely assume that *more* than half of the country finally see he’s the problem. What took so long?

Trump and Co. will make the case again: Your Republican candidates are good because they’re for Trump,” the columnist wrote. “If this message fails — and it’s easy to see why it would — Trump’s rage will be incandescent,” Egger concluded. The president is never one to keep these things to himself. The post-midterms crashout will be breathtaking — and a powerful sign of good things to come.”

Invisible “explosion” at the White House? Could be fun, although hopefully it won’t leave smoke in the air as the fireworks did. When Democrats take Congress, the main thing we will have to be concerned about is Trump’s penchant for executive orders. It’s a question to be addressed, since it seems the courts are the only way to stop him, and we can’t count on SCOTUS being helpful at all. Look at everything they’ve overturned, and look at how much they’ve helped Trump. Absolute immunity. Well, it’s something to think about, one day at a time. Bonus points if you know the song used for the title.

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
