This gentleman flew so far under the radar that we didn’t know he existed. He’s had enough and is leaving the government. It seems, as with others, there comes a point when you have to say “enough”. And so he did. His last day is in 2 weeks. There’s no telling if he was forced out or chose this on his own. Since we haven’t seen anything about him until today, it could very well have been his own choice. Sometimes you just know. Thanks for the step up, Raw Story:
One of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s most prominent aides announced his resignation on Monday, citing no reason other than to retire quietly in the Great Plains with his family. Ron Moeller stated, “I intend to go back to the Black Hills, recharge, chop lots of firewood for the winter, and ignore any and all journalists trying to get me to talk about my time in this historic and consequential administration.”
Give the man points for a sense of humor. “Ignore any and all journalists.” Since he worked with Hegseth, he may not be able to say anything anyhow. And since he worked with Hegseth, he doesn’t want to get started ranting? One is just as good a theory as the other. We won’t know anything unless he chooses to discuss it. It has to be chaotic in the Pentagon around Petey Boy and his lie detector tests, just to start. He’s not exactly the most stable individual. How many times have we seen Hegseth lose his temper in public?
Anyone working with Hegseth is likely a study in patience. He tries to clamp down on everyone in the Pentagon and the press. If he were less of a jerk, there might not be leaks. He wouldn’t be in the news so often for his stupidity and paranoia. Hegseth *could* choose to have press conferences, but those stopped early in the war after we weren’t making any difference in the war. We were just blowing up random things and killing people.
And this was supposed to be a discussion of Mr. Moeller’s resignation, but all we have about him is the announcement today. Working in the Pentagon means exposure to Hegseth, and that’s why we include him. However, a lookup shows this gentleman had a whole lot of experience and responsibility. “Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Strategic Readiness”. He had a 38-year intelligence career, starting in the USAF, then moving into the CIA. He had a whole lot of overseas deployments. Mr. Moeller could be considered a true hero, unlike Petey Boy.
Let’s wish him well and leave it at that. He’s had one hell of a career and deserves his family time and his rest.
