His lifestyle has nothing to do with it. This is a cause for concern at his age. Golf doesn’t count as exercise. McDonald’s occasionally comes close to decent food. (Nothing against McDonald’s on occasion, just not ongoing.) Then there’s the whole sleep issue. But it seems the weight is actually a pretty big deal. Thanks for the foundation, Raw Story:
A health marker doctors warn can foretell premature death has been spiking in President Donald Trump’s medical records, according to a new report. Doctors are seriously concerned that Trump, 80, may have gained nearly 25 pounds since his last campaign for president, according to the Washington Post. “Obesity is a strong risk factor for numerous health issues,” said Scott Kahan, the director of the National Center for Weight and Wellness. “As well as premature disability and death.”
Just about everyone has something they don’t do “right”. Diet, exercise, sleep. These could almost be called the Big 3 if we’re generalizing. They’re pretty simple on the face of it. Guidelines on food, even a little exercise, and getting some decent rest. Now we are well aware that Trump does none of this. It’s one thing to joke about McDonald’s, but all the time? As much as their french fries are yummy, there’s such a thing as too much. Getting outside also helps, even if it’s a few minutes of walking. Sleep can be tricky, especially if you have reset your body clock to a weird schedule. The way advertisements are these days, no matter where they are, we’re still mostly seeing thin people. That’s finally changing, because there are all sorts of body types. But if you were in certain sports when growing up, that idea gets stuck in your head, so a gain of 5 pounds is a major issue, even if it isn’t. You still feel you *have* to be thin, guy or gal. But again, we are generalizing. Athletes are a whole different animal.
Trump thinks about none of this. It’s easily visible, especially under the ill-fitting suits and the too-long tie. It’s even more apparent when he’s out golfing, which doesn’t count as exercise when done the Trump way. He is getting winded and red in the face on shorter and shorter walks. Then there’s the apparent leg brace, the odd shape of his behind, the bruises on his hands, the possible catheter, oh, and the arm bruising. These are all signs of physical issues that are concerning.
Then we can get into the mental ones. He loses track of what he’s saying, even with a teleprompter, and wanders all over the place, but he doesn’t notice! He thinks he’s doing just fine. He falls asleep nearly anywhere and anytime. He is up most of the night posting creepy AI (who taught him how to use that???!!!) with the added ranting and raving, plus he is the man who is obsessing about a ballroom. This is the face of America?
This is what the world sees for the United States. This crazy old man is our president. This crazy old man isn’t running the country. He’s running ON the country. He doesn’t try to hide anything anymore. He got us into a forever war. He abuses the people in the military (see: the USS Lincoln) and the country (see: his use of our tax dollars while he increases his personal fortunes illicitly, and he doesn’t try to hide that anymore, either), *and* the world (see: tariffs and the Iran Strait)!!
This broken-down old man is a lunatic. He has no business being president. The problem is that we, the people, don’t have a way to get him out of the White House. We don’t know if JD would be any better if we could get Trump out. Rubio would have us go after Cuba, and that did NOT go well the last time (see: Bay of Pigs). Perhaps Mother Nature will intervene. At this point, we have to hope that midterms happen and that we flip not only the House, but the Senate as well.
I still want this t-shirt to go visit somewhere out of the country: I am an American, and Trump does not speak for me. ‘nuff said.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula\

I read somewhere that he weighs 235 lbs., but they said that’s for a 6 ft 3 in. man, and he’s only 6 ft in reality (he says he’s 6′ 3″).
“This broken-down old man is a lunatic. He has no business being president.”
True dat. Congress, what are you doing to get rid of Trump? There are methods that have been discussed. Get one going and make it happen. Sacrifice your career and you’ll be in the history books. You’ll be alright, and your life will be easier.
