She really is losing her mind. Apparently, no one was able to get her some help, which is sad. She’s turning into Trump. This rabid idea of hers is something else. Her prejudice is showing. There is no telling where and how she got this latest phobic idea. With respect for Raw Story:
Former Republican campaign adviser Steve Schmidt tore into Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) over her recent CNN interview. Schmidt, who referred to Mace as a “putrid canker” and “Miss Look At Me Look At Me Look At Me,” took particular issue with Mace telling CNN’s Omar Jimenez that the United States should essentially ban Islamic immigration altogether. “We have Christian foundations as a nation,” said Mace in the clip shown by Schmidt. “Go back to that country is all I have to say. Go back to that country of origin. It doesn’t need to be here.”
Wow. That’s disgusting. It’s also ridiculous. And it’s her latest bid for attention. Mace comes up with these ideas from nowhere. Does she have a wheel with topics on it, so she can spin and win her latest prejudice? If we look back at previous outbursts, such as the airport debacle, she really does pick something random to rant about. Then she gets fact-checked, which didn’t seem to do much good this time. The airport did post a response to the rants and wiped her out with it. Let’s not go into the weird things she’s done in Congress.
As Jimenez tried to remind her that the Constitution guarantees freedom of worship, she talked over him, saying, “I think we should ban all immigrants from those countries.” Mace was demonstrating a “childlike insistence to get the last word, to say the last mean thing, the last provocation against decency,” said Schmidt. “I don’t want them in the country. Who, Muslims? It is a disgrace.”
Many Muslims have “fought and died” for America, after all, he pointed out — and America’s leaders have long honored that sacrifice. “George Washington was assiduous about this, about the free expression of religion, writing over and over to different congregations with the spirit of tolerance in his pen for the choices people make about how they choose to worship a higher power or not,” Schmidt noted.
Nancy Mace doesn’t seem to care for such niceties as the Constitution. She only cares about what benefits her. This is one of those. It appears that when she has lost the attention she craves, she comes up with some sort of nuttiness that yanks attention back to her. Remember the fuss she made in Congress about trans people using their biological original bathrooms instead of their new identities? And then screaming so much that she pushed Congress into relabeling the bathrooms? Or the time that she brought nude pictures of herself and made accusations? Oops. “Went there.”
Ultimately, Schmidt concluded, “There is nothing uglier, nothing more bigoted, and nothing more un-American than what the loathsome Nancy Mace is doing right here. Degrading, demeaning, dehumanizing her fellow Americans for attention, for the sake of her own fetish for cruelty, and for political posture.” “It’s no different than a Nazi chasing a Jew around the street in 1930s Bavaria,” he added. “She is a David Duke with extensions.”
Fetish for cruelty? That covers a lot of what she’s done. See the bathrooms in the Capitol. See the airport scene. She takes action for what will make the biggest splash while she stands in the middle, dry, self-righteous, and cruel. Has she ever actually *done* anything in Congress besides pushing for the Epstein file release? We know people were trying to convince her to get help. It seems it didn’t work because here she is again. There’s nothing anyone can do for her. It has to come from her, not from friends or colleagues. Here we are with Mace attacking people because of their beliefs, their countries. This needs to stop. Our country is fragile enough right now without her latest attention-grabber. Once again, she needs to shut up.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working.
