Just like in the old days, the Vietnam Era, where meaningless statistics dragged on year after year, the Trump regime is getting primed. Pete Hegseth came up with the statistic that Iran is only 8% of what it used to be — meaning that there’s been a 92% decrease in something or other. If you can decipher this missive and figure out what, contact all mass media outlets, they are dying to know.
During Vietnam the press began referring to the daily Pentagon briefings as the Five O'clock Follies because they knew the numbers they were about to hear were complete bullshit that meant nothing in real terms.

Now Heaven forfend that Iran drags out as long as Vietnam did, but it’s starting to mirror that conflict in other uncomfortable ways. such as this statistic. And don’t hold your breath waiting for Trump to clarify what his 8% figure means.
Does it mean the entire society has been reduced to a mere 8% of what it was? Does it mean its military has been reduced thusly (you know that’s a farce.) Does it mean that Hegseth likes the number 8? Now you’re starting to get down to the truth of the matter.
