J.D. Vance, in his capacity as “fraud czar” has prepared a criminal referral on both Tim Walz and the attorney general of Minnesota, alleging that they took part in fraud in the state. This is the rehash of the Somali Day Care scandal which hit the state a while back.

If you go to Twitter/X and expand the letter you’ll be able to read it. James Comer, not surprisingly, is the instigator of this investigation. The gist of the letter seems to be that Walz and AG Keith Ellison were put made aware of the fraud allegations and then did nothing with them.
I will certainly be primed to see what Walz and Ellison respond to this witch hunt. The timing of this is not coincidental. It’s clear the idea is to get this issue all trumped up before the midterms.
