Donald Trump had a bunch of kids in the Oval Office. His version of talking to kids about their dreams is to rain on their parades. This will undoubtedly be a visit that the kids will remember.
Trump just mocked a little girl for being short, and stomped on her ambitions.
Little Girl: “I play volleyball and in the summer I’m trying to get into soccer.”
Trump: “And with your height do you smash the volleyball. Can you get up high? Can you jump high?”

the tweet ends, “No very,” and Trump saying, “soccer might be better.” Crush the kid’s dreams, why don’t you? And of course it gets worse.

I logged in all fired up with a load of golf-centric snarky attitude and there he was in your article missing three putts from the same spot on what it’s all that tough a green. 2.8 handicap my ass! More like 28 if handicaps went that high. (It maxes out at 18 – for those who don’t know the system is set up to allow strokes to players of different skill levels to have an actual competition) Anyway the best I can offer at this point is this:
Actually, Denis, the highest allowed USGA handicap is 54. I’ve seen a lot of 30 and 40 handicaps in tournaments I’ve played in and they are often hard to beat because even a rank hacker can scrape out a score of 100 and end up with a Net 60. Now, if Trump had to actually establish a legitimate USGA handicap (without cheating), his handicap WOULD be close to 28. Just his putting stroke alone is hard to watch – absolutely putrid. He flicks at the ball with his right hand like a 5 year old would start out learning to putt.
I never had an official one although way back when I played regularly I’d enter my scores on waggle.com to get an unofficial one. I didn’t play that much where handicaps were factored in but when I did the highest allowed was 18. That has seemed to be the case with some pro ams, although perhaps that’s because they don’t allow competitors with a handicap higher than 18 into the field. When you’re in that setting I can imagine how tournament organizers wouldn’t want total hackers out there.
The USGA establishes handicaps in the US. No other handicap is recognized in practically any tournament play in the US. All scores can be entered on their site used to compute handicaps – GHIN.com. They also issue official USGA handicap cards which are used in practically ALL tournament play. Go play in ANY tournament in the US and anything from “Waggle” (a golf clothing retailer) doesn’t mean anything.
So, when you say “handicaps” and “it” maxes out at 18, that is patently false. We should always try to be factually correct on this site.
You don’t need a particularly good putting stroke when you award yourself a gimme whenever you get the ball within 10 feet of the hole, as I understand has been standard practice for Trump.
The groundkeepers on golf courses call him ‘Pele’ because he kicks the ball so much.

That was demented of him. He had no clue of his audience. Some of those kids eyes were bulging. Talking about people being shot in the head. It was horrific but we can’t expect anything else of him.
