This is a sight for sore eyes! The cabinet is worried about Democrats taking the House and that it will make heads roll. It couldn’t happen soon enough for my taste. These people are wretched. If anyone knows one good thing about any of them, please let me know. There doesn’t seem to be. They are right to worry! Much obliged to Raw Story:

Many MAGA hardliners in Donald Trump’s White House are quietly panicking that they’re going to prison — and no preemptive presidential pardon will be enough to save them.

Administration insiders told Zeteo’s Asawin Siebsaeng that officials such as Stephen Miller and Pete Hegseth fear the midterms will put them in grave danger of impeachment. And, though Trump has reportedly floated the idea of pardons, they worry they will not be enough to save them, Zeteo’s senior political correspondent wrote.

That makes my mean little heart happy. Impeach them? Oh, heck yes! Get them out of power? Oh, heck yes again! Those two, at the very least, deserve everything we can throw at them. They have done so much wrong against this country that it’s hard to know where to start the list. Miller’s could probably start with those unachievable quotas. Hegseth? Prejudice against a whole lot of people who have done nothing to deserve it, and unnecessary firings. Both of them need to be buried under public hatred and brown stuff. Seriously! We’ll certainly get to the rest of the ‘cabinet’ too.

“Some of them have told me they’ve noticed a growing trend of Democratic politicians making public calls for aggressive prosecutions of ‘Trumplanders’ in the future — a trend one Trump aide privately lamented as ‘kind of worrisome,'” he wrote.

“And a significant number of senior appointees working in Pete Hegseth’s Pentagon, in Stephen Miller’s White House, and in so many other departments and crime-laboratories of the Trump-Vance administration do not think that federal pardons will be enough.”

While publicly remaining silent, much of Trump’s inner circle privately acknowledges polling data that shows Democrats will likely retake the House in 2026, Siebsaeng wrote.

Administration insiders also recognize that, eventually, progressive political opponents will likely control the White House again. The Wall Street Journal reported last week that Trump has promised to sign mass pardons for administration officials before leaving office.

How is he going to pardon everyone if he leaves this soil? Or rather, feeds this soil? (Ha.) Also, they should remember how Trump is about promises – makes them and breaks them. They can’t even count on those pardons if you think about it. The pendulum is swinging our way with everything it has. Let’s hope that everyone follows through on what they are saying.

Team Trump anticipates intense Democratic voter demand for aggressive accountability measures, he wrote. Progressive politicians are expected to pursue what Democrats characterize as “retribution” investigations into the administration’s conduct.

Last year, multiple Trump administration officials purchased new legal insurance and professional liability coverage in anticipation of future Democratic investigations or prosecutorial subpoenas, sources told Zeteo.

This approach mirrors tactics employed by January 6 committee staff members before the 2022 elections, when they similarly prepared for potential Republican-controlled congressional oversight. But actions in recent months — particularly during Trump’s Iran conflict, which intensified internal leaking, recriminations, blame-shifting, and institutional paranoia — have revealed a notable shift in administration sentiment, Siebsaeng wrote.

Oh, goodie! Paranoia is such a lovely world, although Hegseth has been that way all along. Pentagon lie detector tests, bah, those aren’t exactly reliable anyhow, last I knew. There are too many variables. It would be a lovely reversal of fortunes if *he* had to take one. But overall, the administration (except Trump, of course) is worried, and well they should be! They’ve made an all-fired mess of the country, and they should answer for it. I can hardly wait.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of elderly, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
