I’m no defender of Eric Swalwell but I do take umbrage to the fact that he has already resigned from Congress and Fox News is bending over backwards to give one of the women he allegedly raped all kinds of air time when on the other side of the aisle there are people who won’t admit wrongdoing or resign, and their victims get short shrift. Take a listen to this gal. Not judging her one way or the other but she does meet the Platonic ideal for being shifty eyed and I wonder if she’s telling the truth or not for that reason.

You see what I’m saying? I’d love to stick a lie detector machine on her and see if it records all the shifts back and forth of her eyes. Her eyes shift so much that she could set off a Richter scale with all that movement.
Point being, Swalwell did the right thing already. He resigned from Congress and he suspended his campaign for Governor of California. So that rightfully should move him off the front pages.
And not saying that the women he allegedly raped don’t have their day of justice coming to them. They do. My point is that it shouldn’t be front and center of the news cycle because Swalwell has backed out of his public life and therefore should be out of the public eye.
It’s ironic in the extreme that Fox News is there front and center while the women who have made the same — or worse — comments about Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein (and cohorts) remain muzzled in the shadows. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, if Fox News is committed to revealing all these goings on in public figures. So do they have that committment or do they just want to publicly roast a Democrat?
Stalwell is scum, always has been. Anyone making excuses is also excusing **all** of the pedophiles and abusers. He could and should have been quietly moved out many years ago.
Victims should not have had to come forward. I am disappointed in this post. He withdrew from race and then resigned. I hope someone successfully holds him accountable.
We should not have to choose between sexual abusers on left, center, or right. One party needs to stand for people that are not abusers or serial sexual predators. tRump is awful, but the Democratic Party gave him an opening in ’16 and Joe Biden broke his promise to “pass the baton”.
Michelle Obama knows that the US “is not ready” for a woman president and Joe Biden made it impossible for voters to unite to elect someone other than a convicted felon that enjoys his ongoing record of abuse.

“Biden made it impossible for voters to unite to elect someone . . . ” is the biggest bunch of bullshit I’ve ever read (it’s so fucking absurd I’m not going to censor the phrase either). There were ZERO Democrats at ANY level–not the “professional” politicians, not the “average voter”–who had ANY problems with Biden. Until that debate happened. THAT was when everybody freaked out and, by that time, “longtime,” it was TOO FUCKING LATE for there to be any change to be effected by “voters.” The primary season was LONG over for most states. Maybe you’ve forgotten Michigan and Florida’s 2008 primaries but they held their primaries “out of season” and the DNC said the ONLY way the states could hold a LEGAL, DNC-sanctioned primary was to hold a brand-new one. A primary that would’ve cost the Democratic Party of each state money they didn’t have (the DNC wasn’t going to help pay either) to print up new ballots and pay for all the poll workers and all the other incidentals that go into a primary election. (States only help offset costs when they’re scheduled by the states.)
But, please. Tell us all who had an opportunity to mount a PRIMARY campaign in just a couple of weeks and then mount a general campaign any more effectively than what Harris got.

Dude, I don’t see you wanting to hold Matt Gaetz accountable for HIS paying a teenager (underage, by the way) for “sex” (since she was underage, that also qualifies as rape). I don’t see you wanting to hold Drumpf accountable even though he admitted to going backstage at teen beauty pageants with the INTENT to see young women (some of whom would be underage) naked.
And I certainly don’t see you touting GOP Representative Tony Gonzales’s decision to resign (finally) just over a month after admitting to having an affair with a woman who ultimately set herself on fire after the affair ended. But, gee. Could that have ANYTHING to do with the political affiliations of these perverts and sickos?
