Your evening host is making a guest appearance this afternoon because dadgum! Good grief! He’s ranting again about something he ought not be talking about. This is ridiculous. He needs to chill out, and he isn’t. He’s making it worse. Waking up every day to find he’s done something else stupid is not a good way to start. President Donald Trump praised “Allah” – the Arabic word for God – for the second time in recent weeks Saturday morning in a lengthy rant about the current state of the U.S. war against Iran, complaining about media coverage of the conflict and the United States’ failure to achieve its stated war objectives.
See? Every time he does something stupid like this, it makes the situation worse. He cannot get it through his thick skull that it’s insulting to Iran, especially as he would likely be considered a heretic. This is just unbelievable and WHY can’t someone get through to him that this is doing more harm than good? It’s just sickening!
“The Fake News Media has lost total credibility, not that they had any to begin with. Because of their massive Trump Derangement Syndrome (Sometimes referred to as TDS!), they love saying that Iran is ‘winning’ when, in fact, everyone knows that they are LOSING, and LOSING BIG!” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.
No, Donnie, they aren’t. They are certainly not losing. They are winning, and winning big. He continues to embarrass himself with these screeds and won’t admit that he’s wrong. Ever. We should never have gone to war with them in the first place. We did not achieve anything except killing their original leader, and that was a blip in the government because a very few days later, they had a new leader. They still have the Strait. They still have about “half a ton” (is a LOT) of munitions. We’ve used up a lot of money and equipment that can’t be replaced in any sort of “reasonable” time.
“Their Navy is gone, their Air Force is gone, their Anti Aircraft apparatus is nonexistent, Radar is dead, their Missile and Drone Factories have been largely obliterated along with the Missiles and Drones themselves and, most importantly, their longtime ‘Leaders’ are no longer with us, praise be to Allah!” U.S. officials are currently in Pakistan to engage in negotiations with Iranian leaders about bringing about an end to the U.S. war against Iran. On Friday, Trump issued inflammatory remarks toward Iranian negotiators, stating that the “only reason they are alive today is to negotiate.”
He is making a bad mess worse. Does he really think this is going to help negotiations? Because it won’t. It’s only making it worse. They know he’s full of it and desperately trying to spin a loss into a win. If he doesn’t think they are snickering up their sleeves every time he comes out with some nonsense, he’s wrong. This is stressful and tiring. The US has blotched it’s image with this illegal war. We are certainly *not* the ‘leader of the free world’ anymore. We’re just another country with a crazy leader who is hurting us, trying to become a dictator, thinks he’s all-powerful, and he’s actually just a bratty kid on a playground. Shut him up!

As long as he gets attention, he will just keep babbling on. As long as reporters continue to ask stupid questions about the nonsense he spouts, keeping him center stage, making him feel important, he’ll never shut the hell up. What would be fitting is for him to stroke out and lose his ability to speak. We’d never have to hear that annoying voice again. Keep shoveling the hamberders and diet pop to him. They’ll fix him up.
Yes, he’ll never shut up unless he loses hid voice (which I can’t stand). The article I used got me so mad I blasted off. Yapping is Trump’s thing. Never shutting up is also Trump’s thing. It’s hurting us already and will continue to do so until he makes America a pariah. Then he’ll keep screwing us til he’s out of office and we’ve lost everything.
Week after week we kept getting told we’d destroyed all their drones, missiles, launchers, anti-aircraft batteries etc. Yet they kept firing off drones and missiles both at our ships and at ground targets in the region. AND shot down two of our aircraft. That’s the question Trump and Hegseth need to get REPEATEDLY asked when they brag about having destroyed all they claim to have destroyed. As in “You said we destroyed it. You’ve said so week after week since the first week of the war AND their ability to make new ones. Yet they keep shooting drones and missiles and shot down two of our aircraft. How do you explain that?” They will of course go off on riffs trying to dodge the question so reporters should keep asking it!
They will walk offstage in a huff. They might even cut back on pressers which at this point I wouldn’t mind. Who wants to listen to a combination of cheerleading bullshit lies?
There was a lot of rinse and repeat. I stopped believing anything after the first week, hell, the first DAY when I found out Iran was not only firing at *us* they were firing at the neighbors who had our bases. Iran rubbed our faces in it and rightfully so. It’s been a catastrophe from the beginning to now and continues to be. It ‘s … frustrating.
Having less of them would be a huge blessing!

I think it’s more the case that he doesn’t think it matters that it’s insulting to Iran, because in his view they have to come back to the negotiating table anyway.
It’s like a comment I read about the back-and-forth between the US Administration and various NATO countries. “That’s not how you talk with allies, that’s how you speak to vassals.”
(And please note that I wrote “the US Administration” rather than “President Trump” purposely. I am not in or from the USA, and take it from me that in other countries governments don’t take what’s happening as being Trump-specific, or MAGA-specific, or even Republican-specific. They’re taking it as US Government policy and actions, and are planning accordingly.)
I had to think about this a lot before I responded. I had no idea the world viewed the US that way. It’s bad enough for us in this country, but to find out the world despises us? That’s extremely painful. We’ve gotten bits and pieces from outside here and there, but never that much. Our country is a disaster. Relationships have been ruined all over the world because of Trump. The things he is doing get more excessive by the way. At this point, I have no idea if we’ll be able to get anything “back”. It’s depressing. But I am glad you told me this. It makes a difference.
Vassals. That’s what he thinks alright, and that’s wrong. Everyone is pushing back against him and he deserves it. I still don’t understand why half the country thought it would be a good idea to have him as president again. He’s decimated almost everything.
This hurts. I don’t see any kind of solution.
