This is ridiculous. He’s trying to slap his name on everything, not only places it doesn’t belong here, but places in the world that do not belong to him. He’s out of hand, out of his mind, and out of control. The ego keeps expanding. The vanity keeps expanding. And probably the weight keeps expanding, too. This is ridiculous and embarrassing. President Donald Trump is facing mockery after floating the idea of renaming the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important shipping lanes, after himself – or the United States. At an investor forum in Miami Friday night, Trump referred to the waterway as the “Strait of Trump” before correcting himself and insisting the remark was intentional. “Excuse me, I’m so sorry. Such a terrible mistake,” Trump said to the crowd. “The Fake News will say, ‘He accidentally said.’ No, there are no accidents with me.”
Oh, hail yes, there are accidents with him. He usually doesn’t notice, but we do. Let’s harken back to the days of sharks, batteries, and electricity. We can’t say he intended to come up with those and blurt them out. But in his mind, everything is glorious, and he needs to share it with not only the US but the world. He must amaze us with his greatness! *cough* It’s only his lock of greatness that’s amazing. We can imagine what the rest of the world thinks of him and us.
The Daily Beast reported Friday that Trump has also privately discussed rebranding the vital global oil corridor as the “Strait of America” if the United States were to help wrest control of it from Iran. The waterway has become a major flashpoint in the MAGA administration’s escalating conflict with Tehran, which has disrupted shipping and helped send oil and gas prices higher.
You have got to be kidding me. He could call it the Strait of America, just like he calls the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America. No one’s going to use it besides him and his ‘cabinet’. Why bother? There are several other countries around there. Do you think they’ll go along with renaming it? I think not. They’re having enough trouble on the fringes of the war started by Israel and Trump. They won’t want reminders of this debacle.
One administration official told the New York Post that the U.S. is “taking the Strait back” and questioned why it should still be called Hormuz if Washington ends up policing it. But even some Trump allies appear uneasy with the idea. A former administration official told the Post that Trump’s self-promotion while in the White House is “getting tiresome and tacky,” and risks “tarnishing his legacy.”
What legacy? I only see a legacy of demolition and gaudiness. That’s not a legacy. It’s a nightmare. It’s ugly. It’s destroyed history, and we can’t get it back. That hurts. And he just won’t stop. All he’s done is wreck things to rebuild them in his own image. That’s not America. That’s not the United States. It’s the ugliness of Trump. It continues on and on. I don’t know how to stop him. Can we?

“…ugliness of Trump. It continues on and on.” Yeah, it’s relentless. But, we can make a big deal of ripping his name off everything he’s defaced with his stupid-ass name. That day will come.
