Donald Trump always telegraphs when he’s unhappy with somebody and has had a change of heart. When things began to cool down between him and Mike Pence, Trump casually dropped it into conversation that Pence “hated” the gays and would kill them all if he could. It seemed an odd comment at the time but as things played out, that was the beginning of Trump’s pressure campaign for Pence to stop the counting of electoral votes on January 6. Today, Trump dropped a similar comment about Pete Hegseth into conversation.

So Pete’s the warmonger, you see. Trump had no reason to drop that comment into this presser but you see how he went out of his way to do it. So how does that bode for Pete Hegseth? Remember, bookies have been saying for some time now that Hegseth or Pam Bondi are next on the chopping block. Hegseth’s fortunes may have just changed as of this afternoon.
The question you need to ask yourself, now and always, is what does Vladimir Putin want? And if Putin wants the U.S. out of Iran then out the U.S. will be. And if Hegseth doesn’t want that, then Hegseth is putting his own neck down in front of the guillotine.
Surely, he’s not so naive as not to be able to realize that’s what he’s doing? But maybe he is. Maybe Hegseth really believes his contrived warrior with mascara persona and believes that he has ultimate sway over Trump and Trump’s actions. And if that’s the case, watch somebody sell Hegseth a bridge in the very near future.
I found the chyron in the clip to be so silly. Iran had already agree to “no nuclear weapons” in the agreement they made with Obama. You remember that agreement? The one Drumpf tore up during his first term?
But, Drumpf has also claimed that you can’t ever trust Iran not to mention Drumpf claimed that he’d already destroyed the country’s facilities that were allegedly building a nuclear weapon. Of course, Drumpf lies all the time; it’s not just in his nature, it IS his nature.
Yes. Trump tore up Obama’s carefully settled agreement with Iran, and after all this time, lives lost, and billions spent, we’re nearly back to it.
With the proviso now, that no-one with any sense, would trust the word of The USA on any international agreement.
Thanks to Trumps seemingly inate perfidy, and the people that re-elected him, the word and promise of America as a country is worth as much as a promise by Libya under Qaddafi, or Putin’s Russia.
hegseth is absolutely that naive. he’d a talking head from fox, he’s an idiot. he’s doing what he wants which is fine as long as it conforms to what trump wants. trump now realizes this isn’t playing well but pete can’t see past his own nose.
