Heh heh. It’s not for a good reason. And it’s seriously damn funny. About fell out of my chair laughing. Hopefully, you will too. Elon is in the news again, and as seems to be the norm these days, he’s doing the deny, deny, deny fast and furious. Now, it must be mentioned that this is a tad unexpected, even though the article said it has shown up before. That must have been before this writer started writing about political sorts of subjects. Are you ready for this? From Xitter, via Raw Story:

Tesla CEO Elon Musk went on a frantic online posting spree Saturday to insist his innocence after being named in the Justice Department’s latest release of files on Jeffrey Epstein, files that in some cases blew holes in his previous denials. “No one pushed harder than me to have the Epstein files released, and I’m glad that has finally happened,” Musk wrote Saturday in a social media post on X, which he owns. “I had very little correspondence with Epstein and declined repeated invitations to go to his island or fly on his ‘Lolita Express,’ but was well aware that some email correspondence with him could be misinterpreted and used by detractors to smear my name.”

Ahahahaha. Methinks the man doth protest too much. He would have been better off keeping his yap shut and only answering questions if they came to him. The posting spree makes him look *more* guilty, not less. Hello, Captain Obvious? It really doesn’t matter *that* much. Most of the US is looking at Trump, and to a much lesser degree, anyone else. MAGA will chortle with glee if they can nail someone else about Epstein, of course. Elon’s name coming up was a bit of a surprise.

Musk has previously stated that Epstein had “tried repeatedly” to get him to visit his island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, but that he had “declined” the invitations. However, the newly released Epstein files include emails from Elon Musk that appear to contradict that account, showing Musk “practically begged for an invitation” to the island, known as Little Saint James. Musk also previously stated in 2020 that Epstein had “never toured” one of his SpaceX facilities. Among the newly released files is an email exchange that appears to contradict that statement.

Again, why didn’t he keep his yap shut and just answer any questions anyone asked him? This frantic posting proves things are true, not false. They show panic. That’s not a good look for him. For being such a supposedly smart guy, he’s certainly dumb a lot of the time. On the other hand, any number of geniuses have not exactly done well in personal relationships and ‘street smarts,’ so maybe it isn’t a surprise after all. Hmmm.

“It appears Elon Musk personally invited Jeffrey Epstein to visit him at SpaceX in [2013],” reads a social media post on X from the account for the “TrueAnon” podcast, which has more than 40,000 paid subscribers on the crowdfunding platform Patreon. In response to the revelations, Musk spent much of Saturday morning replying to users on social media, defending himself. “Correct,” Musk wrote in response to a social media post that labeled attacks on Musk over his relationship with Epstein as “completely absurd.” “Exactly,” he wrote in response to another social media post that credited Musk as being the “primary reason” that the Epstein files had been released at all.

Yup, there’s the genius ‘I’m so smart, and you aren’t’ mindset showing up right there. How in the hell he’s the one who got the files released is beyond me. I thought it was Congress who did. Well, no harm in letting him cling to his illusions. It can’t hurt anything. But still, the man doth protest FAR too much. See you soon!

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

  1. “Methinks he doth protest too much”

A loose paraphrase of “The lady doth protest too much, methinks” ,a famous quote used in Shakespeare’s Hamlet. It is spoken by Queen Gertrude.

  2. Your “… Ahahahaha … He would have been better off keeping his yap shut and only answering questions if they came to him. The posting spree makes him look *more* guilty, not less…” A fox smells their own first, any way the subjective innocence is going to be heralded and defended.
