Remember how we’ve all been screaming about the new batch of ICE agents? Well, we’re not the only ones. Something interesting has come out about them from an unexpected source. We did not see this coming, not at all. With thanks to Raw Story:
Several Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents revealed Monday that the Trump administration’s rush to add 10,000 new officers has produced a wave of undertrained and “sketchy” recruits, most of whom were “idiots,” a senior ICE agent told independent journalist Ken Klippenstein. “The brand new agents are idiots,” the senior ICE agent said, speaking on the condition of anonymity. That sentiment was “echoed by virtually everyone” Klippenstein spoke to at ICE, some of whom recounted stunning anecdotes about the on-the-job behavior of some of the new recruits.
Ouch! This, coming from senior ICE agents? Well, this is what happens when they’re in a rush to do something. It was all about ICE getting billions (grrr) of dollars to get new agents yadda yadda ya. Taking shortcuts means it came back and bit them *hard*. These imbeciles are screwing up. No wonder Minneapolis is fighting back so hard, and good for them! But senior officials talking about this? The higher-ups, Krispi Gnome and Stephen Miller (still need a good nickname for him), should pay attention to their seasoned, smart people. Right now, there are only a few smart ones. It’s annoying to say something like that, but seeing ICE agents with morals and knowledge is something worth remembering.
“A lot of the guys are honestly pretty sketchy,” said another ICE agent, who Klippenstein wrote was a “new recruit.” “I thought federal agents were supposed to be clean cut, but some of them pass around a flask as we are watching a suspect.” Since last January, ICE has bolstered its numbers by 120%, adding 12,000 new officers and agents in less than a year. The agency had also received more than 220,000 applications since President Donald Trump took office. Scrutiny over ICE agents’ training, or lack of, has increased in the wake of the fatal Border Patrol shooting on Saturday of Minnesota resident Alex Pretti. On Pretti’s killing, Klippenstein wrote that several ICE agents laid blame for the incident on “some skittish young recruit who panicked” after hearing the word “gun.”
Hmm, wait, what’s wrong with this picture? A *new* recruit making comments about other new ones being extremely unprofessional? Whooda thunk? However, we should point out that *one* recruit firing would be one thing, but *more* than one would be another. That’s over the top and beyond excessive. For heaven’s sake, they were kicking him, punching him, and pepper-spraying him! And yes, you’ve heard it all before, but damn!
Other reports have revealed that a number of new ICE recruits “can barely read or write,” and that many were flunking out en masse after lying on applications and failing to meet basic physical requirements. Pretti’s killing has become a flashpoint in the scrutiny around ICE and other federal immigration enforcement agencies, with Trump holding a “late-night crisis” meeting Monday with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino getting demoted that same day.
We need to start keeping a score of all the things we’ve talked about that later prove true. Could be fun. These newbies, though, the vast majority need to get gone. Would the killings still have happened? There’s no way to tell. The entire country, minus asshole MAGA influencers, is pissed off at ICE/CBP/DHS. It would behoove them to stop with the cowboying and settle the eff down. It’s doubtful they will, but damn, we don’t want Trump to call on the Insurrection Act. Please, no.

Someone with better knowledge than what I have might enlarge on this idea. Miller’s initials are SM. Is that a reflection of his sadism? S&M is related to inflicting pain, which is what he’s trying to do. Somebody take it from here.
