The ugly truth of the matter is that not even the most deserving people can get SNAP most of the time. I know that when I first became disabled, I qualified for $16 a month, that’s less than $4 a week, in food stamps. I was on full, permanent disability at the time. How can a person like that not qualify for more money in food stamps? If you ever find out, please drop me a line and explain it to me. $16 was enough to feed a cat for a month, not a person.
It simply is not true that there are fraudsters and grifters on SNAP because it’s too hard to get. And I appealed to people at the County Of Los Angeles and got nowhere. What the guidelines were is what the guidelines were and that was it.
Plus, I love Rollins talking about the Democrats shutting down the government. Pure Goebbels. Repeat a lie a thousand times and it becomes truth. The Democrats are totally out of power and cannot shut down the government but that’s the real world and not the Fox News version of reality. That in and of itself is responsible for most of the problems with this country.
I have no idea how long it will take for this reapplication process but I fear that in the meantime people are going to starve. And it is winter and the holiday season. It simply goes against all common sense, not to mention common decency, to take this action at this time.

The only purpose of SNAP is to feed Americans who are food insecure. It’s approved by Congress. It’s the law. The system works as-is. This Trump Administrative executive has NO legal authority to change the law & the eligibility requirements. That’s Congress’ authority as outlined in our United States Constitution.
Making everyone on SNAP reapply or lose their benefits is government waste of our taxpayer dollars at its worst. The cost of doing so will outweigh any claimed savings from supposed fraud.
The only possible reason for doing so, is the make those who are hungry & starving lose their benefits. Just the latest illegally example of the Trump Administration stealing from the those Americans with no voice to enrich themselves personally.
Brooke Rollins net worth is last listed at $5 Million. I wonder how much her personal net worth rises from bribes and kickbacks to her as a result of this wasteful self-serving exercise to starve veterans, elderly, disabled & sick Americans, and make vets homeless?
