Ahhh, the golden couple again. The couple that simply dote on one another and can’t stand to be apart for a moment. Yes, we are told that frequently they even sleep in the same state, can you believe it? Not that you would know that if you watched the number of times that Donald Trump has boarded or deplaned without his wife, even when visiting foreign dignitaries on state visits. Maybe it’s all for the best. Melania is ornamental only. She doesn’t enjoy people of accomplishment and it’s doubtful that they enjoy her, past an amusing chat for two or three minutes. Even Queen Elizabeth opined that Donald and Melania “had some kind of an arrangement.” Yes, they do. His money buys her looks and she has admitted same publicly, for the first time on The View over fifteen years ago.

Plus Trump doesn’t care if kids have school breakfasts or lunches. That’s of no concern. Making sure his rich buddies at Mar-a-Lago get tax breaks is important, he’ll worry about that, but as to children eating? Puh-leeze. Donald has bigger fish to fry.

Does anybody know WTF he’s talking about? “They adopt to it?” Okay, they adapt. Adapt to whut??? And this next clip I positively love.

Melania takes off running. She doesn’t even bother to put up the pretense that she and Trump are walking out together and perhaps are going to the same place, *home* to the White House. And here’s Trump bragging about the only thing that matters to him, the ballroom.

And here’s Melania struggling through a “speech” major fluency in five languages and all.

My assessment is that Melania hates all this. She has to. She doesn’t bother to read the material and learn how to pronounce all the words. She’s got to know how people mock her and loathe her.

And in all fairness, she didn’t sign up for this. She was a model marrying a rich guy. I get that part of it. But there is such a thing as rising to the occasion and she never has really bothered with that. She’s always had an eff you attitude, starting out with not moving into the White House for months and then really getting rolling with the peacoat with the cynical “I Really Don’t Care Do U?” slogan, which has become her legacy.

She takes off running on this occasion. And so does Donald, for that matter. He totally ignored all the Epstein questions.

Melania, for her part, has done all that she can do to distance herself from Epstein. That’s great, but at the end of the day, she’s still married to Trump and there’s only so far that you can distance yourself from a spouse. She would have a lot more credibility if she left Trump, especially if she cited the Epstein connection as a reason, but that will never happen. She’s in for a penny, in for a pound, and she’s clearly determined that she’s going to stay married to Trump and get the inheritance. (And yes, it would be hilarious if he stiffed her at the end and she didn’t get squat after hanging in.)

But still and all, these appearances net her a pretty penny. She probably made a quarter of a million dollars reading what little you heard. Nice work if you can get it.
