The War On Truth that is taking place in this country is the undercurrent that we live with every single day. Major news stories are simply not being reported because the mainstream media is terrified of Donald Trump. They have cause to be. Every single time a basic question is asked, if Trump doesn’t like it, he attacks the reporter posing it. This happened again yesterday in the Oval Office. NBC News asked for clarification about the Walmart Thanksgiving supposedly being so much cheaper than last year, when in fact it simply contains fewer (and cheaper) components. Trump went off the deep end, per usual, and called them “fake news” followed by Karoline Leavitt chiming in, “So affordability is what the American people elected this president to do. And he is doing it and you guys refuse to cover it.”
No, the MSM refuses to cover any of the horrific things that actually take place on a daily basis because they don’t want to antagonize Trump and lose all access to him. It is an institutional Catch-22 that journalism is trapped in. For instance, Gavin Newsom posted this yesterday and it’s going unreported. (Or, in my case, misreported, more about that below.)

Trump fell asleep in the Oval Office while Mehmet Oz was droning on. This is unprecedented. If a United States president has ever fallen asleep in the Oval in the history of this country, it would have been reported. But it is not being reported.
If Biden had done this, not only would it be wall to wall coverage from the media but Hannity and Ingraham would have 8-hour marathons about the need to remove him, and Jake Tapper would be hard at work on his next book.

If Ron found our piece with Trump sleeping, it was mis-labeled that he slept on Air Force One. Not that that would be unusual. The plane has a bedroom for that reason. But last night’s post that I did was on Trump barely making it down the stairs in one piece and then getting into the limo — after having gone to sleep on the job.
Again, people nap on planes but most presidents use their Air Force One flights to work and they have all the personnel and equipment they need to do anything that needs to be done.
So I screwed up in my reporting of the situation last night and I feel awful about that. But on the other hand, there wasn’t a single major outlet reporting Trump sleeping in the Oval Office, only the photo of him sleeping and in the context of him going to Mar-a-Lago. So I put together the best story I could, from what I could find at 10:17 p.m. on a Friday night. That’s what we do around here is monitor the internet and break the news stories that we find. In this case, a major fact escaped me because all I had was a headshot of Trump.
I am grateful to both Governor Newsom and Ron Filipkowski for clarifying what actually went on. And Filipkowski is right. No large outlet wants to publish that Trump slept in the Oval Office during Oz’s speech because they don’t want to rile up Trump.
What a scene, though. A man passed out in the Oval Office, Trump did nothing but watch other people help the guy to the floor, and then Trump himself conks out? What a zoo. What an utter fiasco. Yet you’re talking about a guy who slept through his own criminal trial, so it’s hardly surprising he would go to sleep while a major address is being made in the Oval Office.
And yet it goes unreported. And with settlements like $14 million, $60 million, those kinds of numbers going out to compensate Trump for his bogus defamation claims, can you blame anybody? Meanwhile, major stories are slipping under the radar. Classic Catch-22.

Yes, Ursula, you CAN blame somebody: The spineless fatcat heads who own the media. Just one of them needs to stand up to Drumpf and say, “Fine, buddy. We’ll see you in court. Just make sure that you’re ready for the WHOLE truth to be presented to the judge because WE have the receipts to back up our reports and reporters.” Dominion had more than enough evidence that Fox “News” *knew* their propagandist talking heads were spewing lies about the election that Fox CAVED and settled the suit rather than face a court case which could cost them even more than they shelled out. Yet none of the REAL news networks or media agencies is willing to stand up and tell Drumpf to take a flying leap into the Grand Canyon and make Drumpf have to cough up millions for his frivolous lawsuits (that, for the record, bordered on slander).
