Donald Trump’s elder daughter announced that she would be withdrawing from politics some time back. That decision was likely made on January 6, 2021 but if not, it was made shortly thereafter. Ivanka always thought that the press was “vicious” and she said that politics was in disharmony with her “core values” although I don’t recall her specifying which of those precisely there was a problem with. So maybe the issue today is that Ivanka simply does not realize that by pitching her newest business venture that she is in fact returning to politics because her business and the top news story of the day out of Washington are on one and the same topic: food and people being able to access it.
Trump’s eldest daughter was there to promote a company of which she is co-founder, Planet Harvest, a profit-for-purpose produce company focusing on reducing food waste by finding high-value markets for surplus or “off-grade” fresh fruits and vegetables.
Trump’s eldest daughter said she donated 5,000 boxes filled with fresh produce and protein to help families in need.
Unfortunately for Ivanka, her social media posts about this appearance weren’t as warmly received.
Sharing photos of the event on Instagram, she posted: “Today, 129 million Americans have at least one major chronic disease and roughly 60% percent around 77 million people, have conditions that are diet-related, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes or obesity. If food drives disease, food must be part of the cure, and if food is medicine, farmers are healthcare providers!”
“That’s why last week I joined [Arianna Huffington] and visionary leaders at the Think Health Summit in Bentonville to explore one of the most powerful tools for better health: food. Thank you to my inspiring friend Alice Walton for hosting such an incredible, change making event.”
Then she added, “while in Arkansas” her company and others “donated 5,000 Planet Harvest Farmacy boxes filled with fresh produce, protein, and science-backed, chef-developed recipes to families in need across Northwest Arkansas. And we’re just getting started. Through Planet Harvest, we’re creating a new market for the 30 percent of nutritious and delicious produce that never leaves the farm because it doesn’t meet arbitrary cosmetic size, shape, or color standards – aligning what’s good for our farmers, families, and the planet.”
Ivanka’s post, the Irish Star reports, infuriated critics “who pointed out that many Americans are currently worrying about food prices, while others barely have any leftover cash to feed their families. As the government shutdown continues, millions of Americans are experiencing disruption to their food aid and a dramatic rise in their health insurance bills.”
One commenter snapped back, saying, the post was “quite tone deaf as so many Americans are fearing not knowing where their next wholesome meal is coming from. Please consider picking up THAT banner.”
Another suggested the Miami socialite “maybe talk to your father,” while another agreed, saying, “How about ensuring healthcare for them?”
“I guess your families [sic] logic is if food drives disease, then let’s make sure people can’t afford food. Problem solved. Shameful family!” wrote another.
Another questioned her medical expertise, asking, “What does she know about improving health outcomes?”
She knows nothing except how to present herself as some evolved thinker and do-gooder in the world, at the same time being oblivious to the bigger picture. Ivanka and Jared were always oblivious to the comical image that they struck. Jared wore a bullet proof vest with his designed clothes while overseas once and was dubbed “Ralph Lauren of Arabia.” They were both trying so hard to present themselves as statesmen and they were utterly out of tune with the fact that they played out as rich kids “playing government” to quote John Kelly.
Today Ivanka shows she has learned nothing from the past nine years. SNAP benefits have been reduced and this is happening a few weeks before a major American holiday, Thanksgiving. Her father is lying through his teeth about groceries going down in cost for this year’s turkey feast.
“Walmart just announced that Prices for a Thanksgiving Dinner is now down 25% since under Sleepy/Crooked Joe Biden, in 2024,” he wrote. “AFFORDABILITY is a Republican Stronghold. Hopefully, Republicans will use this irrefutable fact!”

When his post made its way to X via the official @RapidResponse47 account, readers quickly slapped on a Community Note adding the key additional context.
Walmart’s Thanksgiving 2025 bundle features 22 items while the chain store’s 2024 meal had 29. The entire 2025 cart comes out to $39.33, according to the Walmart website. In its announcement of the 2024 meal, Walmart says it would serve eight people for less than $7 per person, making it roughly $56.
Walmart did not immediately respond to the Daily Beast’s request for for comment.
Take seven items off the menu and yeah, that’s a lot cheaper, no question about that. Maybe Trump can get the holiday meal down to one item, a sweet potato, let’s say, and then claim that the Republicans are giving Thanksgiving away.
And one would assume that Ivanka reads the same papers we do and watches the same newscasts — but no, she just strolls obliviously into the hottest controversy of the day, seeking to impress us all with what an enlightened being she is, doing good in the world. Stop, Ivanka. Just stop already.

the lack of affordability is what made and keeps donald’s billionaire buddies billionaires.
recipes? really?
Your’e right you know, regarding Ivanka. This is exemplified by your words where Marie Antoinette Barbie Doll knows “… nothing except how to present herself as some evolved thinker and do-gooder in the world, at the same time being oblivious to the bigger picture … always oblivious to the comical image …”
