So, as you all know, Trump has started construction on his vanity project Ballroom. He swore up one side and down the other, it was a completely different structure, and he wouldn’t do anything to the White House. Well, we know what *that* means. He gave us pretty words so we wouldn’t get up in arms about changing things. Now he has been caught, and it’s NOT pretty. It’s infuriating! From Raw Story:
President Donald Trump promised that his plans for a massive, $200 million ballroom addition to the White House would not “interfere” with the current structure. But The Washington Post has obtained stunning images of parts of the East Wing being demolished as work begins. “Construction teams on Monday were demolishing a portion of the East Wing, with a backhoe ripping through the structure, according to a photo shared with The Washington Post and two people who witnessed the activity and spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe it,” reported Jonathan Edwards and Dan Diamond.
Yes, he lied. No wonder he’s been taking care of Ghislaine Maxwell. She lies all the time, too. This is part of Trump’s mindset. He lies so much it’s hard to know when he’s speaking the truth. It seems to be getting worse, and then add in the start of dementia. So it’s a political guessing game since we really don’t have a way to take him seriously.
Per the report, a group of people that included several Secret Service agents “stood on the steps of the Treasury Department to watch the construction unfold, said one of the people. Sounds of construction were also audible on the White House campus.”
Gee, Secret Service agents, it’s not a good look to see you watching the construction. What exactly are you supposed to be doing? Protecting Trump’s ballroom as it’s being built? Of course, who knows what random, erratic, nutso thing he will do next? We would expect it to be a real pain in the arse by now.
When Trump signed the executive order approving the construction of the new ballroom, which is set to be significantly larger than the entire current White House, he told reporters, “It won’t interfere with the current building. It won’t be. It’ll be near it but not touching it — and pays total respect to the existing building, which I’m the biggest fan of. It’s my favorite. It’s my favorite place. I love it.” Trump has separately promised that the ballroom will be financed entirely with private donor money, at no cost to taxpayers.
Well, we shall eventually find out how much we, the taxpayers, really paid for. Cynical writer is cynical. We know that we are paying for at least a part of it. Remember, Trump lies, often, and we never know what’s bullsh!t and what’s the truth. That means we can’t ever trust anything he says. It’s obvious, considering what’s happened to the East Wing. And you know that can’t be restored. What a bunch of hooey, all for a vanity project for Trump.

We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. He loves it, it’s his favorite place, right! I seem to remember him calling the White House a dump. I guess it’s not that anymore, since he is busy embellishing everything with gaudy gold paint.
“He lies so much it’s hard to know when he’s speaking the truth” … really? It’s easy, Susan: he NEVER speaks the truth. If his lips are moving and that horrible voice is leaving his mouth, then he’s lying.
We won’t pay for it the same way we didn’t pay for his last vanity project, the border wall
ETTD……the more tRump destroys, what “the people” love, the happier he is. He’s a PSYCHOPATH, that’s what they do! So, Democrats and decent people everywhere, must find a “remedy or cure” for this insanity, asap!
