Ok, this woman is getting beyond ridiculous. She’s wasting so many people’s time. She’s pissing off a lot of people she ought not be pissing off. She may get herself on TV with her work, but that’s not what her job is about. And there’s about to be a reckoning she won’t like. From Raw Story:
U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro could be in line for a private dressing down by a federal magistrate for wasting the court’s time with multiple frivolous federal charges that either get dropped at the last minute or flop in front of federal grand juries. Reacting to federal Magistrate Judge Zia M. Faruqui blowing up on DOJ prosecutors for pulling another last-minute dropping of federal charges ordered by Pirro on Thursday, a panel of legal experts on MSNBC suggested the Trump appointee should expect a courtroom appointment with the judge in the near future to explain her actions.
See what I mean? Her job is not showboating. Her job is to make arrests and bring criminals to justice. Her job is not bringing people in front of the court, just to have the case thrown out. Her job is not to drop charges at the last possible minute. She isn’t supposed to bring felony charges against someone for a misdemeanor that, even then, is nonsense. I have yet to see a report on any *actual* criminals. And if DC has all this crime like Trump says, why aren’t criminals being arrested and tried?
As MSNBC’s Lisa Rubin explained, Faruqui, a former D.C. federal prosecutor himself, lost his temper on Thursday after charges against Eduardo Dana, who was accused of making death threats against Trump last month, were dropped thirty minutes before a hearing after the accused had already spent a week in jail. He added, “It’s not fair to me to say they’re losing credibility. We’re past that point in my life as a federal prosecutor, and I will say, decorated by the prior U.S. attorneys, not myself. I have never then nor now seen in my life the volume of motions to dismiss federal criminal complaints.”
This has gotten beyond ridiculous. As if we needed it, could there be any more proof that she has no idea what she’s doing and is grasping at straws? I would not want to be in her shoes should a judge call her in to have a “discussion” with me. You know she’s going to be ripped apart, and I wish I could be there to hear it. It’s going to be ugly.
“I find it, you know, pretty absurd that she projects this on everybody else and not on her folks,” he continued. “I feel badly for the prosecutors in the sense that they’re probably taking their orders from the top, and what Judge Faruqui said is they’re trying to pad statistics, arrest statistics, and that leaves the U.S. attorneys in a very, very difficult position.” “You know, with Jeanine Pirro, it’s absolutely, laughably absurd that she would say that she’s not going to try to convince a grand jury what to do,” he added. “So I feel sorry for the professionals in the U.S. attorney’s office, but they need to listen to what the judge is saying, because this is a clown show,” he recommended.
Oooof. And ouch. Tell it like it is, sir. Ms Pirro is laughable. Utterly laughable. She has no business being in that position. She needs to go back to Fux News and quit subjecting DC to her… I don’t know what. Inanities? But Trump likes her, so she’ll stay. Oyyyy.
