This whole thing about the Epstein papers is getting beyond ridiculous. Republicans and Trump are losing their minds. Of course, Trump is going to say everything and anything to push it away. Now add in something very odd regarding Trump. From AlterNet:

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) appeared to say that President Donald Trump once doubled as a confidential informant for the FBI before he ran for office. Johnson made the comment while speaking to reporters at the U.S. Capitol on Thursday about Rep. Thomas Massie’s (R-Ky.) effort to force a vote on releasing the Department of Justice’s remaining evidence on convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. When CNN congressional correspondent Manu Raju asked Johnson about Trump calling the ongoing controversy over Epstein a “hoax,” the speaker insisted that Trump’s statement was being misconstrued by the media.

Trump was a confidant for the FBI. I don’t see it. And it’s for one simple reason. He can’t keep his damn mouth shut! I would think that informants would need to be *VERY* cautious in what they say and how they say it.  Trump is anything *but* discreet. That is not a word in his vocabulary. Why would they recruit *him*? Really??!! Maybe he was doing a lot better in his earlier years. Who knows!!

“I’ve talked with him about this many times,” Johnson said. “It’s been misrepresented. He’s not saying that what Epstein did is a hoax. It’s a terrible, unspeakable evil. He believes that himself. When he first heard the rumor, he kicked [Epstein] out of Mar-a-Lago. He was an FBI informant to try to take this stuff

down.”

It’s been misrepresented. Oh, really? I think not. This stuff happened, and we know it. He is *still* protesting and misdirecting and blustering. He’s going to have to figure out a way to keep them, but we know that’s going to take him down. I’ll be throwing confetti around the day it happens.

Trump’s status as an FBI informant remains unconfirmed. However, he has a history of being willing to cooperate with the FBI in the past. BuzzFeed News reported in 2017 on a 1981 FBI memo in which he said he would “fully cooperate” with the bureau. Trump reportedly agreed to accommodate undercover FBI agents at his Atlantic City, New Jersey, casino who were investigating organized crime.

Maybe he was, maybe he wasn’t. This is something else for us to speculate about. And it’s not going to distract from Epstein for more than a day. The Epstein thing is bigger than I ever thought it would be, plus Trump acting as an FBI informant. Do we think this is true? I call bullshizzle. I don’t have the slightest belief in this. I hope you don’t either.

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thanks. Ursula

  1. An informant? Yes. Snitching for personal gain sounds like his modus operandi.

Confidential? No. He’s always found secrets to be something to monetize. With the money ending in his pocket. He can’t even keep his own secrets, secret.

  2. pre-emptive cover gor when the files become public and mre importanly, when the women start talking. i wasn’t abusing those girls i was gathering intel for the fbi. it could also be that trump got swept up in the investigation and was told it would be on his interest to inform on his friend. take your pick.

  3. this is also one of those things where, gee, you could have saved a hell of a lot of time and paniced anxiety if you had mentioned this years ago. i also don’t buy informant trump, concerned withe evil done by epstein, considerinf pardoning maxwell or even going as far as he has with. total bullshit and that’s the end of mikey being taken seriously about anything.
