All this waffling around, dancing around the subject, sticking their heads in the sand in hopes that it will go away has pissed me off. The Epstein files need to see the light of day. And Congress may very well be able to do something that will force it on the DoJ. People have a right to know about them. There must be some bombshells in there, for as hard as they’re trying to keep it under wraps. We, the people, need to know what the hell went on. It’s time. From AlterNet:

But the real news is that survivors are speaking out. They were THERE. They know what happened. They know how they were treated. And they know the names of the powerful people who raped them. They, too, are tired of the pretense, and they have had it. They are speaking out, and this can’t be hidden anymore. They’re going to blow the whole mess wide open, and it’s about damn time!

Several women who were victimized by convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein reiterated their demand for full transparency from the Department of Justice (DOJ). During a Wednesday press conference on Capitol Hill, the accusers — some speaking out for the first time — gave detailed accounts of their exploitation at the hands of Epstein and his chief accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell. The women called on the House of Representatives to support a bipartisan discharge petition by Reps. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who organized Wednesday’s press conference, to force a vote to compel the DOJ to publish all remaining Epstein-related documents that have yet to be made public.

BOOM. There it is. They’ve had it. Could you imagine a girl, a young GIRL, being abused by Epstein and Maxwell and powerful men? I can. I can put myself in their shoes and imagine. It’s terrifying. You get trapped, with no way out, and powerful men will also abuse them, because they like young girls. How many men went through there? How many men were abusing these young girls? And now they are speaking out. They’ve had it with the bullshizzle and trying to hide what went on. They are SPEAKING OUT.

The American people are watching. Which side will you be on?” said Sky Roberts, the brother of Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre (who died by suicide earlier this year). “The shame does not fall on these brave women,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said. “The shame falls on every single person that enabled it. The shame falls on every single person that took money to continue it. And the shame falls on the people in power over several decades who protected the monster, Jeffrey Epstein, and his cabal, who continued the nightmare.”

Shame, indeed. These people need to get ready for their press conferences, because this *will* come out, one way or another. If the women have to call a press conference where they can talk and name names, for damn sure they’ll do it. If the discharge petition gets forced through, and it just might be, there’s going to be a whole lot of anger, and embarrassment, and fire and brimstone going on, because they know they’re in the papers, and they know they can’t hide from it anymore. Too bad for them. I have no sympathy. By the way, do you remember the #MeToo movement? Their abusers are in prison for a long, long time. After seeing this, it’s no wonder that the women are speaking out about Epstein and the ones who used them.

Both Khanna and Massie are seeking 218 signatures on the discharge petition — dubbed the “Epstein Files Transparency Act” — in order to force a floor vote. Assuming all 212 House Democrats sign on, Massie only needs six Republicans to support his effort. He already has four Republican signatures. President Donald Trump issued a veiled threat to Republican lawmakers on Tuesday night, with one unnamed White House spokesperson telling GOP members of Congress that the administration would consider their support of the discharge petition a “very hostile act.”

Ha. “Hostile act.” That’s because he knows damn well he’s in those files, and he is doing everything he can to hide it. He’s afraid. So, he’s trying to crack the whip over the Republicans in Congress and make them go back to toeing the line and being the good little sycophants they were. I don’t think it’s going to work this time. If we can just get a few more Republicans, perhaps those who are retiring, then Trump can’t do a damn thing to them except yell on Truth Social.

Trump needs to remember that there’s an extremely good chance he isn’t the only name in those files. The hammer will come down on them, too. He’s in good company (ha). I think he’s starting to realize that he can’t dance around the subject anymore. Those papers are going to come out, one way or another. He’d best prepare for it.  The survivors, the women, are speaking out. Prepare for the truth to come out, because it will.

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thanks. Ursula
