And the hits keep coming. The GOP hasn’t learned from its mistakes. They can’t handle the truth. They can’t handle being shown their screwups. Another one is about to bite the dust. I wish I could be sorry, but I’m not. I have no sympathy left to give. From Raw Story:

Senator Lisa Murkowski made waves over the weekend when she declared “politics” was taking over policy at Trump’s Center for Disease Control. “The firing of CDC Director Susan Monarez just a month after her confirmation, along with the departure of other high-level disease experts the day after her termination, raises considerable questions about what is happening within the agency,” she wrote on X. “Americans must be able to fully trust that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention rigorously adheres to science-based and data-driven principles when issuing policy directives.”

Gee, ya think? The help with health should come from the people who are professionals and know what they’re doing. The new people being installed are anti-vaxxers and worse. Wouldn’t it have been a good idea to keep the ones we had? But no, she chose someone and now she’s getting walloped for it. She’s following in the downhill slide of the Republican Party.

The outrage came for Murkowski instantly. Republicans against Trump said, “You knew he’s an anti-vaxxer crank and still voted for him. This is on you.” In a separate post, the group added, “Reminder: Murkowski voted to confirm RFK Jr.” //// Marcus Jackson, an engineer, wrote, “You voted for this idiotic government. Resign already.” //// Ex-prosecutor Ron Filipkowski chimed in, “These spineless people won’t do a damn thing.” //// Popular influencer @SundaeDivine responded with, “You know as well as everyone else that Cassidy isn’t going to do jack-s—. You’re all performative monkeys for Trump.”

WHAM. She made that wrong turn at Albuquerque, and now she can’t hustle herself away from her own decisions. She’s supposed to be able to think and do your JOB. Well, obviously, her brain was out to lunch the day she voted to confirm RFK Jr. How could she not have known what he was like at his confirmation hearing? She should have known the “I won’t be anti-vax” was bullshizzle. Constituents were screaming “NO,” and she ignored them.

The Republican Party is turning into a train wreck more and more every day. They don’t listen, then get surprised when people are angry. Well, I can’t blame them. Democrats are just as angry, if not more so. Republicans are so blind. It’s infuriating. But! This is also giving us all sorts of information to use while working towards midterms. Their slide down is our power up.

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thanks. Ursula

  1. I am enjoying the backlash these Cheeto bootlickers are experiencing for their rubber-stamping of every unqualified quack his lordship trotted out for their approval. I also promise to bring a covered dish or two when republican voters finally roast them on a fire.
