I’m not sure how, since I thought she was a parrot and didn’t have an original thought in her head. Someone must have loaned her the orange cat brain cells. She was very upset about the treatment of her great and glorious Trump after the Alaska summit last week. You know, and I know, that it did not go very well, but she is insisting it went just fine.

In a series of sharp criticisms, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt blasted the media for its coverage of President Donald Trump’s Alaska Summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, claiming despite the goalposts that Trump himself had set but did not meet, it was “highly productive” and “successful.” President Trump had said the goal of the Alaska talks was a ceasefire, and warned that there would be severe economic consequences for Russia if no ceasefire agreement was reached, as CBS News reported.

Heh. A tisket, a tasket, a TACO in a basket. Trump won’t ever follow through with any threats or sanctions or whatever against Putin or Russia. It’s just not going to happen. KKKaro-lyin knows that perfectly well. But she has to keep up appearances, y‘know.

No ceasefire agreement came, and Trump declared that to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, Ukraine would need to cede territory to Russia, despite Russia being the aggressor. But Leavitt on Tuesday told a different story, attacking what she claimed was “the media’s negative and downright false coverage of President Trump and his foreign policy accomplishments.”

Right. She hasn’t paid me for that bridge yet. It’s sad that she’s believing her own PR now. She ought to know that Trump is *always* going to try and spin to make himself look good, no matter what happens. How many times has he been caught out on something that he then has to pretend was planned?

Many were angered that Putin, who is facing an arrest warrant for war crimes from the International Criminal Court in The Hague, was invited onto U.S. soil and then given the red carpet treatment. //// Veteran journalist Michael McGough labeled Levitt’s remarks the “Spin of the day.” //// “This is pure cult spin,” declared Wall Street banker Evaristus Odinikaeze. “European leaders didn’t jump on planes to D.C. because they were inspired by Trump’s ‘progress’ with Putin, they came because they were alarmed and terrified that he was about to sell Ukraine down the river. Leavitt is turning a fire alarm into a fanfare. When allies rush across the Atlantic in 48 hours, it’s not to celebrate, it’s to stop a disaster. In fact, the Finnish President Alex Stubb alluded to this when he told Trump the Finnish history after the Second World War.”

WHAM. There ya go. There are world leaders who actually care about what happens to Ukraine, its leader, and its people. There are people who no longer trust the US. Can you blame them?

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, with the exception of one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to keep going in our quest to tell the truth about Trump and see democracy survive. If you can help, please do. Thanks. Ursula

  1. What exactly did tRump accomplish with this little junket? All I could tell was that he legitimized a war criminal on American soil. Am I missing something here?
