I’m surprised the complaining hasn’t started yet. I expect we’ll be hearing it any time now. The conference didn’t go the way he would have wanted it to, with his demands and their capitulation. If anything, it went the opposite way. They know him by now, and they know how to play him. This is great! From Raw Story:
The leaders of Europe ganged up on President Donald Trump to drill into his head how critically important it is to stand by Ukraine at Monday’s meeting, CNN global affairs analyst Kimberly Dozier told anchor Brianna Keilar. The meeting, which was marked by some embarrassing slip-ups for the president, comes a few days after Trump welcomed Russia’s Vladimir Putin to a summit in Alaska, which ended with no clear progress toward a peace deal and the president seemingly persuaded against some of the hawkishness he had shown toward Russia over the past few weeks.
I have a new phrase: TACO-OR – Trump Always Chickens Out On Russia. Wouldn’t it be nice if he would follow through just once? Not going to happen. But back to the meeting. It seems the world leaders kept it up with Trump about the situation with Ukraine and didn’t let him try to slide out of anything. I wish I could have seen that!
I’m pleased they finally learned how to handle him. There has been far too much sitting up and begging (especially over this tariff BS). If he hits you with something, hit him right back. Take control of the conversation right from the beginning and don’t let him “weave”. Yea, that would have been something to witness.

Several of them made the point to say Article V, like security guarantees.”
Aw, yea. I hope they had at least one group call among themselves to figure out who would say what and take down Trump with it. Plus, the added bonus of showing President Zelenskyy as the “good cop” was just perfect. As a side note, Zelenskyy zinged a reporter about clothing because he had gotten dissed about not wearing a suit at the meeting earlier this year. (Insert rant about his country being in a war.)
“So this is to say, in public, and have Trump agree to it, that, yes, we’re going to give Ukraine some really strong security guarantees backed up by boots on the ground, and maybe it’s just going to be U.S. intelligence and U.S. air support and continued U.S. weapons supplies that the U.S. would be paid for, but they don’t want him to get talked out of this by Putin,” she added.
They need to keep reminding Trump of that. His dementia brain doesn’t hold onto any information very long. Actually, it might hold onto this because I’m certain things didn’t go the way Trump would have wanted. He was made to “look bad”. It’s 50-50 either way. They got him goooood. It’s about damn time something went “our” way instead of his.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, with the exception of one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love.
