Apparently, this woman doesn’t learn from her mistakes. She may look good on TV, but otherwise has absolutely no redeeming qualities or qualifications. She is there to protect Trump and keeps failing every time with the next thing she tries as a distraction. I’ll bet you know who I’m talking about. From Raw Story:
A decision by Attorney General Pam Bondi to go on the attack against former President Barack Obama based upon accusations made by DNI Tulsi Gabbard that the ex-president colluded with Russia in 2016 is a huge misstep, according to columnist Amanda Marcotte. On Wednesday, the Salon columnist pointed out Bondi misjudged the public’s appetite for taking on Obama, and it can be reflected in the response from the MAGA base, which has not pounced on it in much the same way they have in the pursuit of Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Yea no. Obama was (mostly) loved and supported. Trump is not. *He* would be the one colluding with Russia, and still is. We don’t know that for certain, but considering the evidence, well, it’s pretty obvious. Obama was aboveboard. Trump is not.
Look at his grifting on being the president of the United States. He’s not even trying to hide it anymore. Is this what our country has come to? It seems so. We have a president who is sliding into dementia. He is choosing random numbers for tariffs. He’s trashing our position in the world. But that doesn’t matter as long as he can make all that lovely money. All about him.
After writing, “No one, including Trump, seems to fully understand what Obama is even accused of doing in this elaborate conspiracy theory,” the Salon columnist added, “Fox News, Newsmax, and other MAGA propaganda outlets are desperately trying to make this very dumb, very confusing conspiracy theory take off with the Trump base. So far, the results have been lackluster.” She goes on to note that the pursuit of Obama has only increased scrutiny into the current president’s ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Yuh huh. It’s not working. It just isn’t. I wonder how long it’s going to take before she realizes that this effort is also failing. Probably just long enough for Bondi to come up with something else to try and redirect the Epstein mess. Is she really that clueless, or is she really that dumb? Of course, that clueless already *is* that dumb. Oy.
“MAGA’s true thought leaders, like Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA or Trump’s companion Laura Loomer, are paying little to no attention to the Russia story — likely because they know their followers don’t really care about it either,” she wrote. “On the contrary, their efforts to tweet about Obama lead to a sea of replies about the Epstein files, the very topic they are trying to avoid on Trump’s behalf.” Noting that GOP lawmakers also don’t appear to be buying into it, she wrote, “this distraction effort isn’t working,” as they moved on to subpoena “the DOJ for a small number of records related to the [Epstein] case.” You can read more here.
Could you give it up, Pammy? Nothing is going to work to redirect any of the people of America, MAGA and non-MAGA (thank heavens for us) alike. Release the damn Epstein files after redacting the names of the *victims*, although everyone already knows about Virginia Giuffre. Virginia was brave enough to step up and expose Epstein. Nothing is going to make anyone happy until Bondi puts the files out. Trump *is* the “deep state” now. She’s running out of options. She really only has one left. Everyone knows what that is. Everyone.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, with the exception of one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to keep going in our quest to tell the truth about Trump and see democracy survive. If you can help, please do. Thanks. Ursula

Susan, I’d argue that Ms Bondi’s not even good to look at, but that’s a matter of personal taste and mine doesn’t run to bimbo-blonde Barbie-wannabe Fux News clones. For me, her look’s just as vapid as her brain. As for the attempted Obama smear, well good bloody luck: bad timing, when the impending loss of Medicaid for millions of people spotlights the undeniable fact that Barack’s signature project was affordable healthcare for ALL Americans. He’d also wipe the floor with anyone who confronted him either in open court, if it ever came to that, or on social media. He’s smart and articulate, something that nobody in MAGAland can pretend to being.
You have a point. I should have said something more like “Trump thinks she looks good on TV.” And oh yes, to see Obama wipe the floor with her *and* Trump. I’d get popcorn for that. It would be glorious (and piss off MAGA and MAGA news)!!
Bondi passed the point of no return when she chose to start helping Trump cover up the extent of his involvement with Epstein. Not just deciding to withhold files she’d said were on her desk and would be released, but worse creating an enormous task force of FBI agents to start “scrubbing” them. When her time in govt. is done it’s hard to see MAGAs giving her the nod for any elected office and no sane person would install her in a top job. At best she might get a gig on Fox but she might be radioactive to them when all the dust settles from this. No respectable Right Wing law firm will want her name on their letterhead either.
I wonder if she’s started having nightmares and waking up in cold sweat realizing how tightly she’s lashed herself to the wheel of the SS Trumptanic and that she’ll go down with the ship.
Yeah, she’s pretty much slammed the door on any sort of decent position after this one. I have *no* idea what she could do for work in 3 1/2 years. (Housewife?) Hindsight is 20/20, and then it slaps you in the face. Too bad, so sad (not).
Oh, I don’t know about her having the self awareness to suffer anything. She has achieved the trifecta the Wizard of Oz began with…individuals with missing parts, i.e., a brain, a heart, and courage.
Scott, you always get me at least once a day *falls over laughing* but! so, so appropriate!
